The Grand Finals wasn’t the only hype moment at this year’s North America Regional Finals, as we also announced Street Fighter V: Champion Edition! This action-packed new version includes all content (excluding Fighting Chance costumes, brand collaboration costumes and Capcom Pro Tour DLC) from both the original release and Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. It also includes each character, stage and costume that released after Arcade Edition and will release for Champion Edition. That’s 40 characters, 34 stages and over 200 costumes, making Champion Edition the most stacked version of Street Fighter V yet! Read on for more info on Champion Edition, Gill and the new November content!
Street Fighter V: Champion Edition will be available physically and digitally on PlayStation 4 and as a digital download on Steam for MSRP $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 beginning on February 14, 2020. Anyone who pre-orders Champion Edition in North America (other territories may vary) will receive a fierce-looking new costume color for each character. For current owners of any version of Street Fighter V, there’s also a handy Upgrade Kit for MSRP $24.99 / €24.99 / £19.99 that grants you instant access to all available Champion Edition content as it becomes available leading up to the launch date.
As always, all game mode additions and balance updates are free for owners of any Street Fighter V version. In fact, all-new V-Skills (V-Skill 2) are being added for each character and, along with a new balance update, will be available for free to current players next month. All DLC characters can still be purchased separately or earned free-of-charge by completing various in-game challenges and receiving Fight Money.
Gill
Now, on a more angelic note, Champion Edition heralds the return of Gill, the leader of the Secret Society and the end boss of the Street Fighter III series. Anyone who finished SFV ’s “A Shadow Falls” story mode will remember the final sequence where Gill was shown to be plotting behind the scenes. Gill is now ready to reveal himself to the world, as he sets out to fulfil the prophecy that the Secret Society has coveted since ancient times. Gill will be added to the Street Fighter V roster as part of Street Fighter V: Champion Edition in February 2020 or can be acquired separately starting in December for MSRP $5.99 / €5.99 / £4.99 or 100,000 Fight Money.
Gill is a master of both Pyrokinesis and Cryokinesis, being able to control fire and ice with perfect elemental balance (hence his outward appearance). All his heavy normal attacks, and all but one of his special moves, have an elemental alignment. When Gill throws out a fierce punch, it’ll be engulfed in flames, and when he lets fly with a standing roundhouse, it’ll hit opponents with a frozen force. But these hot and cold flashes aren’t just for show. They also form the cornerstone of Gill’s unique mechanic – Retribution (bet you’re glad we didn’t say Resurrection).
V-Skill 1 – Divine Comet
Depending on which V-Trigger is selected, Divine Comet will summon either an ice or fire-based projectile. If this missile hits the opponent, they’ll be afflicted with either a flaming aura that slowly reduces grey life or a frozen veil that stops their stun gauge from recovering. If Gill then hits the opponent with an elementally opposed strike, the word “Retribution” appears on screen and the rules get rewritten. His overhead causes a hard knockdown, his standing fierce punch leaves him at plus 10 on hit and he gets more opportunities for juggles and air resets.
V-Skill 2 – Blocking
Blocking can be performed against mid/high attacks or low to deflect the opponent’s attack. It’s effective against strikes and projectiles and it can also be rapidly chained into itself for those “Moment #37” opportunities.
V-Trigger 1 – Primal Fire
Primal Fire powers up Gill’s fire-based special attacks, causing them to set the opponent on fire without having to spend any bar on their EX versions. It also unlocks two additional flaming attacks. Burn Storm is a burning tempest that can be cancelled from most of Gill’s normal attacks and Flame Javelin is a fast moving projectile that strikes the ground like a mini meteorite.
V-Trigger 2 – Ice of Doom
Ice of Doom is the arctic opposite of Primal Fire, in that it buffs Gill’s ice-based specials. It also unlocks two additional moves that are less spicy and more icy. Tree of Frost is a frozen pillar of spikes that rapidly grows from Gill’s outstretched palm. If it strikes the opponent while they’re in a burning state, the Retribution effect will cause a wall bounce. Delay Freeze Lance sets a frosty trap on the ground that functions like a proximity mine. Should the opponent be careless enough to trigger it without blocking, the ensuing detonation will freeze them in place and leave them open for an unabridged combo.
“Sun Chase Moon” Stage
In keeping with their namesake, the Secret Society have hidden bases spread across the globe. The new Sun Chase Moon stage houses one such base, looking suspiciously similar to the spiralling structure shown during Urien’s ending in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. On one side of the stage, the sun looms intently with fierce beams of light, while on the other, the moon hangs in the sky with seemingly perpetual twilight. The structure in the middle also lights up with ancient runes when either player secures a round. The Sun Chase Moon stage will be added to Street Fighter V: Champion Edition or available separately in December for MSRP $3.99 / €3.99 / £3.29 or 70,000 Fight Money.
Holiday Content
As if all this news wasn’t festive enough, there’s more! Beginning on November 18 th , new holiday-themed content will be available in Street Fighter V! Light up the holidays with themed costumes for G, Poison and Lucia for MSRP $3.99 / €3.99 / £3.29. And in weather-related news, a blizzard has apparently hit Metro City and transformed Abigail’s auto shop into a “Holly Jolly Beatdown” winter wonderland! Add this new stage to your collection for MSRP $1.99 / €1.99 / £1.69 or 40,000 Fight Money. The holiday costumes are available on Nov 18 and the stage is coming later this month!
Extra Battle: Blanka (Nergigante)
And finally, for our Monster Hunter fans out there, we’ve got something special. Street fighting and monster hunting go together like, well… Blanka and Nergigante. From November 22 nd through December 20 th , if SFV players get a “Quest Complete” in Extra Battle mode, they’ll be rewarded with a new Blanka costume carved from Nergigante, a ferocious spiky Elder Dragon first introduced in Monster Hunter: World. Current Monster Hunter World: Iceborne players can battle the all-new (and even more ferocious and spiky) Ruiner Nergigante in this recently released expansion!
Ok, that’s all for now, but more exciting Street Fighter V content is in the works. As a reminder, don’t forget to attend (or view) Capcom Cup 2019 (Dec 13-15 in Los Angeles), the culmination of the 2019 Capcom Pro Tour. A winner will be crowned and another new SFV announcement may be coming your way too!
Heads up, Mega Fans: Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection will now be released on February 25, 2020. Read on for a message from Kazuhiro Tsuchiya, Mega Man Series Producer, and a bit more info about this new release date.
As many of you are aware, Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection was initially planned for release on January 21, 2020. However, the team made the tough decision to move the game’s release date back in order to bring you the best possible collection of these cherished classics and deliver a game that will live up to your expectations.
To paraphrase Mr. Tsuchiya’s words, the team greatly appreciates your patience and support and is fully committed to offering the best game possible in late February. We know this is disappointing for those of you who have been excited about this collection since the day we first announced it, and we appreciate your patience.
Hey everyone, we’ve been updating some of our backend systems, and wanted to give you all a heads-up about the link between Capcom-Unity accounts and ResidentEvil.net accounts. More details and a handy guide below:
Capcom Unity will be updated on December 11, 2019 , which will terminate the use of utilizing your Capcom Unity account to log into other Capcom accounts. Here are steps to take for anyone that still wishes to log into Capcom accounts moving forward without their Capcom Unity account. These are the people who will be affected:
People who log into ResidentEvil.Net through Capcom Unity who have set an account password.
People who log into ResidentEvil.Net through Capcom Unity who have not set an account password
—
[WARNING] Setting a password is optional. However, if these steps are not taken before the December 11, 2019 , it’s possible that you will lose the functionality to log into your Capcom accounts and will also lose access to the information contained within. We strongly advise that you follow the following steps to ensure that you still have access.
—
Preparation: How to Check Your Capcom Account Password
1. Once you log into RE NET, select “CAPCOM Account Settings” from the top-right menu.
.
.
2. In the left menu, check to see if it says “not displayed” in the “Personal Information > Password” section and in the “other account” section, it says that the Capcom Unity is “already linked”. If yes, this means that the password has been set and there is no need to create a new password. Please proceed to Procedure 1.
.
.
.
Check to see if it says “not set” in the “Personal Information > Password” setting and also if it says Capcom Unity is “already registered” in the “other accounts”. If so, there is a need to create a new password. Please proceed to Procedure 2.
.
.
.
—
PROCEDURE 1: For RE NET users logging in through Capcom Unity and have a password set
1. Select “Login/Register” on the top-right hand side of the screen.
.
.
2. After the December 11, 2019 system update, the Capcom Unity banner on the bottom of the screen will no longer appear. In the “login with a capcom account” selection at the top of screen, enter your email address and password.
.
.
After this, you’re all set and can continue to use RE NET along with other Capcom accounts.
—
PROCEDURE 2: For those logged into RE NET through a Capcom Unity account, but do not have a password set
1. Set Capcom Account Settings after logging into RE NET
.
.
2. Select Link your CAPCOM Account.
.
.
3. Your mail address tied with your Unity ID will show up. Please select a password associated with this email address.
.
.
.
4. After settings are complete, the “Link your CAPCOM account” display will disappear. In addition, your “Personal Information > Password” will say “not displayed”. Also, your Capcom Unity will be “already linked” in the “other account” settings. If you see all these things, then your password has been successfully set.
.
.
.
5. Go back to the top page of RE Net and select “Login/Register”.
.
.
6. After the December 11, 2019 system update, the Capcom Unity banner on the bottom of the screen will no longer appear. In the “login with a capcom account” selection at the top of screen, enter your email address and password.
.
.
Again, you have until December 11, 2019 to make sure your accounts are linked. Otherwise, you will have to sign up for ResidentEvil.net / CAPCOM Account as a “new user.”
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them in the comments and we’ll do our best to help you out.
Charge Blade fans, rejoice! The majestic “Black Eagle” is Iceborne’s weapon design contest winner, featuring unique feathery special effects. Congrats again to its creator, sheep! Here’s a word from Monster Hunter series executive director and art director Kaname Fujioka:
To put it simply, the main reason we chose this weapon design as this contest’s winner is that “it looks cool.” The way the black feathers form a wing-like silhouette, the contrast between the gold ornamentation and the lightning-like glow effects, and the nice gloss on the feathers all combine to create a weapon that not only looks cool but can be called beautiful as well. We also thought it was very interesting how the feathers open up, alluding to the release of energy when the weapon changes from its shield form into an axe. The design we received was very complete, so we were able to implement a version that loses none of the original design. We think the final product balances the hardness of the charge blade with the pleasant softness of the feathers, creating a delicate yet powerful-looking weapon that we hope other players will think looks as “cool” as we do.
Event Quest “Every Hunter’s Dream III” available from November 7 th @ 4pm PST until December 5 th @ 4pm PST.

Palico Design Contest Winner
The perfect companion to hunters’ Wiggler headgear is finally here! This adorable set includes a headpiece, armor and a coral-shaped weapon for your Palico, and I can’t wait to deck out my trusty companion with it! Once again, congrats Zyralynn_art ! And here are some comments from Kaname Fujioka:
We received a terrific variety of design ideas for the Palico gear, just as we did with the hunter weapon. We’re very grateful for all of the wonderful entries. We had a lot of fun choosing the Palico gear, because many of them had such iconic visual gags. We had trouble narrowing it down because there were so many funny ideas, but in the end we had to choose the “Wiggler Head” design, especially since it would make such a great companion to the hunter head armor that was so popular in World. We also thought it was a nice touch that the Palico version uses the “Wiggler Queen,” which is the rarer of the two endemic creatures. The simple way the Palico was wearing the pot as armor was also very cute, so we did our best to preserve the original relaxed look while slightly downplaying the way the arms and legs are still visible. We hope players will go out on “wiggly” walks together with their Palicoes!
Event Quest “Every Hunter’s Dream II” available from November 7 th @ 4pm PST until December 5 th @ 4pm PST.

When Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam on January 21, 2020, it will be bringing a few extra features in tow. Aside from bringing together all four Mega Man Zero games, both Mega Man ZX games, and the brand new Z Chaser mode, a couple of features unique to each game’s original hardware will be making a return alongside the debut of ZZ Cards!
Let’s start with a feature that serves a dual purpose: ZZ Cards! Tracking your activities throughout the collection, ZZ Cards are perfect for completionists and a great way to check your accomplishments as you play through the Zero and ZX games or Z Chaser. They serve a unique purpose in Mega Man Zero 3, too. A little back story, first: The Game Boy Advance had a unique attachment, the e-Reader, which Mega Man Zero 3 could use to scan in cards and unlock various modifications that changed the game in distinct ways. Some of them were cosmetic, like modifying the game’s title screen, changing the weather at the resistance base, or modifying the look of buster shots, while others could add unique NPC dialogues or new rooms to explore. There were even a few that powered up weapons in Zero’s arsenal!
These modifications were also included as an unlockable feature in the Western release of Mega Man Zero Collection on the Nintendo DS. With Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection, we’re re-introducing them as Bonus Cards, tied to the ZZ Cards that unlock as you play. It would spoil the fun to tell you exactly which ZZ Cards are tied to which Bonus Cards, so we’ll leave that for you to discover. No matter the platform you play on, you’ll be able to check your ZZ Cards to see what you’ve accomplished along the way.
There’s another feature we’re bringing back that used to require original hardware, as well. For old-school players who remember playing Mega Man ZX on the Nintendo DS, you might remember that inserting Mega Man Zero 3 or Mega Man Zero 4 into the Game Boy Advance slot before powering on the console would unlock optional boss battles against Mutos Reploids hailing from each game. I’m happy to confirm that this functionality returns via Link Mode, allowing you to “Link” either Zero 3 or Zero 4 when you start Mega Man ZX to access these throwback throwdowns!
When you set Link Mode to Mega Man Zero 3, you’ll be able to take on:
Blazin’ Flizard
Childre Inarabitta
Deathtanz Mantisk
Devilbat Schilt
And if you set it to Mega Man Zero 4, prepare to square off against:
Popla Cocapetri
Pegasolta Eclair
Fenri Lunaedge
Sol Titanion
We hope you’re looking forward to these original features making their return! Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection dashes onto digital platforms worldwide and into retail stores in North America beginning January 21, 2020.
Finally, you can start the Special Assignment (Rajang) by talking to the Admiral.

NOTE: Future updates will feature more adjustments to make it easier to play. Here are the adjustments currently in place:
Adjustment 1: Region Level change fluctuation adjusted
In the Guiding Lands, you can obtain different materials at each level, so adjustments have been made to how levels increase/decrease to make it easier to explore.
Region Level 1 – 2: No changes
Region Level 3 – 6: Fluctuates at the same rate as region level 2 did before the update
Region Level 7: Fluctuates at the same rate as region level 3 did before the update
Adjustment 2: Adjusted the drop rate of special tracks obtained from monsters in the Guiding Lands
Unanalyzed special tracks are now easier to obtain, making it easier to lure out specific monsters and control your region levels.
They are also now guaranteed upon capturing a monster, or carving from the monster’s body or broken part.
Adjustment 3: Region levels can now be fixed
Settings have been added so that region levels will not fluctuate, and you can explore the Guiding Lands freely with fixed levels.
Fixed region levels are applied per player even during multiplayer.
If you set region levels to fixed, your own region levels will not fluctuate whether you’re the quest leader or just joining another player’s quest.
You can fix region levels at the quest board when you select the Guiding Lands.
Adjustment 4: Expedition Objective added to fixed region play
Added a “Fixed Region” parameter that can be set when departing to the Guiding Lands, or used as search criteria.
Use this setting when you want to let players know you’re exploring with fixed levels, or if you want to search for expeditions using fixed levels.
This parameter will not fix region levels.
For instructions how to fix region levels, please see Adjustment 3.
Adjustment 5: Locating monsters in the Guiding Lands will no longer affect region level
The design of the Guiding Lands has been changed, as region level changing upon discovering a monster in the locale had an unintended effect.

As a Mastermind, you’ll use a series of cards to place traps, zombies, and vicious creatures around each stage to thwart the Survivors’ progress, even unleashing the unstoppable Tyrant to (literally) crush the Survivors’ ambitions.
For more info, check out the gameplay video below to see how a full match can play out:
Both the Survivor and Mastermind roles will be playable at the show, so be sure to bring a few friends to play with – or against! Capcom Store
After a hiatus with a focus on the digital realm, the Capcom Store makes its return in physical form!
This year, the Capcom Store will be your one-stop-shop for all things Capcom, and will be featuring a number of items not sold on our online shop, including a couple of NYCC exclusives and debuts, and various items from a number of our licensing partners. One thing to note, however: our store at NYCC will be cashless; we will only be accepting cards as a form of payment.
If you’re at NYCC this year, make sure to stop by our booth (#1420) to grab some great merchandise, check out the World of Capcom panel (Room 1A24, Friday, 11 AM) work with – or against – other show-goers in various games, and prove you’re the fastest Reploid around!
Shinsekai: Into the Depths is an action game filled with mystery, beauty… and danger! You play as humanity’s last survivor in an underwater world where the surface has been frozen solid. Your only choice, and chance of survival, is to explore the depths of your new aquatic… home (?).
In addition to the original art direction and simplistic approach to gameplay, our dev team also employed new audio tech to help you get fully immersed in your adventure. This time around, sound effects and music were played back and re-recorded underwater, leaving you with an authentic feeling of submersion.
If you like the sound of all of that and want to play Shinsekai: Into the Depths, you can actually play it now via Apple Arcade, which is now live in over 150 countries and regions, and even has a one-month free trial!
Go check it out and good luck in your deep sea journey.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne version 10.12 (PS4) / 10.1.0.2 (Xbox One) is now live. Patch notes are available below.
—
Guardian Armor
Fixed a bug that would not allow you to select the Guardian armor during character creation.
Music
Changed the design of how certain songs would play on repeat while at base.
Elder Melder
Fixed a bug where players were getting the same decoration results when using the Elder Melder’s First Wyverian Ritual.
Quest Board
Fixed a bug at the quest counter where the optional quest “Completed!” marker color would change from red back to blue after save data is imported into Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.
Squad Card
Fixed a bug where the “Language” section of the squad card editing screen would not display correctly after importing save data from Monster Hunter: World.
Hunter Helper
Fixed a bug where the “Low Level Hunter Helper Reward” could be obtained even after failed quests.
Acidic Glavenus “Unavailable” Item
Fixed a bug where players could not properly obtain the “Glavenus Mantle” material from Acidic Glavenus.
Velkhana’s icecloak
Fixed a bug where players’ attacks would not properly remove Velkhana’s icecloak if it was put into paralysis while its icecloak active.
Radial Menu
Fixed a bug where the custom radial menu could be closed at the item box but would remain on the screen and disable normal controls.
Handler
Fixed a bug where the Handler would keep moving in certain places in the Ancient Forest.
Great Sword
Fixed a bug where great sword charges would not trigger charged slashes if the player landed on top of the ice ground created by Velkhana or mud created by Jyuratodus.
Training Area vs. Expeditions, etc.
Fixed a bug where the contents of expeditions were unintentionally updating after each use of “Change Objects in Area” in the training area.
In addition to this change, we are also exploring further changes to address the issue of intentional disconnects for resetting the Guiding Lands. While this should not affect players who enjoy the game normally, we’d like to ask for your patience as we look into implementing options that remove the need to attempt intentional disconnects.
Fixed other minor bugs.
