Time to roll up your sleeves and get direct hands-on with saving the world. Okami HD is coming to Nintendo Switch this summer.
Just announced in today’s Nintendo Direct, we’re ecstatic to finally bring this gaming masterpiece to Nintendo Switch, with a handful of features tailor-made to the platform:
Touchscreen
Taking full advantage of the Nintendo Switch system’s touch screen on Handheld mode, you can now use your own divine drawing skills to slash enemies in half or bring back life to the land of Nippon. Celestial Brush? More like Celestial Touch !
Joy-Con controls
If you prefer to stand back and enjoy the beauty of Okami HD on your big screen, you can still reenact saving the day with your own hands by using the Joy-Con controller’s gyroscopic controls for your sumi-e ink drawings. This feature is also available in Tabletop mode.
Okami HD will be available digitally on Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch this summer. For more beautiful screenshots, artwork and the latest Okami news, follow the Okami pages on Facebook and Twitter.
Did everyone get into the rhythm to obtain the June Crossover Costume for Chun-Li? We hope you did because we just received intelligence that the Extra Battle Challenges for the Captain Commando Crossover Costume for Nash will begin on March 15!
HOW DOES EXTRA BATTLE MODE WORK?
Every month, there will be at least one unique costume like a Crossover Costume up for grabs, which can only be obtained by playing Extra Battle Mode with Fight Money. Here’s the flow of how to go about getting these costumes:
Each costume requires you to complete four challenges that take place over the span of a month – one challenge per week.
Each time you attempt one of these challenges, you will need to spend 2,500 Fight Money. So if you successfully complete each of the weekly challenges in one go, you can get that Extra Battle Costume for 10,000 FM!
Once you complete all four challenges, the costume for that month is yours!
These challenges are time exclusive, so make sure to log in each week to complete them, especially if you have your eyes on that month’s unique costume.
Captain Commando first appeared in the side-scrolling beat ‘em up game, Captain Commando (1991), as the leader of the Commando Team. Along with the other three playable characters – Mack the Knife, Ginzu the Ninja, and Baby Head – Captain Commando must protect Planet Earth from a group of criminals with superhuman powers. With blond hair, glasses, and a dutiful drive, Nash is the perfect character to embody what Captain Commando stands for.

If you’re looking for fun new challenges and special gear to collect in Monster Hunter: World, then Event Quests are your ticket… or rather, they get you tickets (sometimes) that you can use for crafting. Either way, here’s your selection for this week:
The Proving – hunt an Anjanath to get tickets used for crafting the Aloy armor set and Aloy’s Bow.
Coral Waltz – hunt a Tzitzi-Ya-Ku, a Paolumu, a Pink Rathian, and a Legiana in the Coral Highlands, with a good chance of any of these monsters being a crown size.
Wiggle Me This – deliver 10 Wigglers to get tickets used for crafting the Wiggler Head .
Flesh Cleaved to Bone – hunt a Radobaan and an Odogaron in the Special Arena
Challenge Quest 1: Expert – hunt a Tempered Uragaan and a Tempered Bazelgeuse. This quest is available at the Arena Counter in the Gathering Hub and your fastest time will be uploaded to the global leaderboards.
Event Quests and Challenge Quests refresh every Thursday at 4pm PT / Friday at 12am GMT, so make sure to log into Monster Hunter: World every week and follow @MonsterHunter to stay up to date on the latest selection of quests.

Patrick Kulikowski: I’ve got not one, but TWO auditory glories to share with you fine folks in this week’s recap.
Let’s kick things off with something quite unexpected: an entire live bass guitar “bassrun” of Takashi Tateishi’s Mega Man 2 soundtrack… with accompanying gameplay to boot! Travis Morgan’s bass skills not only make me wish I was the least bit competent in that department, but they also call to mind just how important bass is to the game’s soundtrack.
And if the above video made you nostalgic, prepare your earbuds for this gorgeous 1-hour plus video filled with newly arranged renditions of Yuko Takehara’s classic Breath of Fire II soundtrack. The music here was redone by Troupe Gammage (Mutant Mudds composer) and Audistory Music , with an incredibly adorable animation by SmallBu Studio (of “Baman Piderman” fame) and Eiffel Art .
For the uninitiated, the animation features BoFII protagonist Ryu conducting an 8-piece orchestra comprised of his fellow heroic companions Bow, Katt, Nina, Rand, Sten, Jean, Spar, and Bleu. You have to admire Rand’s nervousness and determination as he hits that tiny triangle. It perfectly captures Rand’s surprisingly soft interior.

Devilot de Death Satan IX has arrived in the Puzzle Fighter ring with much pomp and rather suspicious circumstances. This pint-sized-princess packs quite the punch, and is sure to be a royal pain to all of her foes.
With her yellow Affinity, Devilot brings an array of mechanically menacing minions to the match. From her powerful Octopus Jr. attack to the crushing Hell Delta, she’s a threat to even the biggest and strongest opposition. In order to deal the most damage to her opponents, Devilot expends a portion of her super charge with each attack. With her S-008 Super-8 mech always nearby, she is able to rule victorious over the Puzzle Fighter tournament.
Hail to the Princess! Devilot is out now in Puzzle Fighter .
Featuring a host of Capcom’s most beloved characters, the arcade classic is free to download on iOS and Android devices and features competitive head-to-head action allowing you to take on combatants from around the world.
The future has never looked brighter for the iconic Mega Man. As part of the 30 th Anniversary celebration of the Blue Bomber and the upcoming Mega Man 11 in late 2018, we’re bringing ten of his classic adventures to Nintendo Switch! Complete with brand-new features for Mega Man Legacy Collection and exclusive challenges for Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, you can enjoy busting ‘bots anytime, anywhere when both collections arrive as individual digital downloads on the Nintendo eShop and as a combo package at retail in North America this May.
Leading the charge is Mega Man Legacy Collection, bringing together Mega Man’s original six adventures from the Nintendo Entertainment System. No need to dust off old cartridges to enjoy these classic quests as you jump, shoot, slide, and rush your way through masterfully crafted stages to reach the distinctive bosses of Mega Man games – the Robot Masters – in a bid to cut them down and claim their weapons as your own. With the ability to create a save state just about anywhere, you can retry tricky sections as much as you like without having to start over, or simply pick up where you left off when you’re playing at home or on the go.
Series veterans know that Mega Man is all about the heat of the moment-to-moment gameplay, though. Did you get a little too gutsy with a jump and fall in a pit? Were you not quick enough to escape a barrage of lasers? You can get back into the game in a flash thanks to the brand-new “rewind” feature! Just by holding a button, you can roll back gameplay, allowing you to pick up where you left off without missing a beat.
If you’re looking to dive into even more content, Mega Man Legacy Collection includes a giant gallery of concept sketches, box art (including the infamous original Mega Man box art), production art, songs from each game, and a collection of challenges that will put even the most dedicated fan of the Blue Bomber to the test. If you have a regular or golden Mega Man amiibo, you’ll also gain access to eleven additional fan-made challenges (from this contest ), previously exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS version of the game and now making their console debut on Nintendo Switch! Do you have what it takes to come out on top? You’ll have to run like the wind to prove you’re the very best on the leaderboards.
Moving on from Mega Man’s early years, spring into Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 to see the beloved bot’s evolution and retro revolution in action. Mega Man 7 originally burst onto the scene on the Super Nintendo, updating the classic series with 16-bit graphics and a rich story that takes place just a few months after the previous game ended. Mega Man 8 kept with the tradition, bringing an astronomical upgrade with 32-bit graphics, an expanded storyline, and fully animated cutscenes that are well-known for their “quality” voice acting. Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10 made a splash right as the 8-bit retro revolution was taking off, bringing the series back to basics with NES-style visuals while pumping up gameplay with additional playable characters: Mega Man’s sometimes friendly rival, Proto Man, joins the fight Mega Man 9, and returns alongside Mega Man’s nemesis, Bass, in Mega Man 10 .
There’s plenty more to play after you’ve finished the main games, too. Both Mega Man 9 and 10 include all previously released DLC, giving you access to time attacks, bonus stages, and more. Already packed with a selection of art, music, and unique challenges for each game, using any Mega Man amiibo with Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 unlocks new challenges to put your platforming skills to the test. Think you can earn gold across a variety of challenges without striking out?
You can grab both collections for yourself digitally with Mega Man Legacy Collection for $14.99 and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 for $19.99, or pick both up at retail in North America ( MMLC on a cartridge and MMLC2 as a digital download) with an exclusive Mega Man 30 th Anniversary cleaning cloth for $39.99 this May. Check out the official website for info on where to pre-order. With all ten classic titles coming to Nintendo Switch, it’s a great time to catch up or relive your favorite mega moments ahead of Mega Man 11, coming late 2018 to Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Kellen Haney: There’s nothing like the taste of patented Sissel burgers, is there? Old family recipe – wait, I’m getting things a little mixed up here. Micnaxable on YouTube has created an incredibly elaborate mash-up of two completely different pieces of media: The classic puzzle / adventure / murder mystery game Ghost Trick, and the beloved “Steamed Hams” bit from the “22 Short Films About Springfield” episode of The Simpsons that’s seen hundreds of remixes and mash-ups in the past several weeks.
Going well beyond editing video, Micnaxable has re-created the entire skit with a Ghost Trick aesthetic, right down to the cel-shaded models and dramatic text boxes. Can our hero reverse Principal Skinner’s fate and get a bite to eat while he’s at it? You’ll have to watch the video above to find out.

Monster Hunter: World patch updates 1.06 (PS4) and 1.0.0.11 (Xbox One) are now live; patch notes available below.
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One :
Fixed an issue that occurred when hunters had 31 or more Slashberries in their item pouch at the time of the last update ( PS4 v1.05 / Xbox One v1.0.0.10 ) where the maximum number of Slashberries a hunter can hold in their item pouch was reduced from 60 to 30. This update will move any Slashberries exceeding 30 in your item pouch to your item box.
Made additional fixes to an issue fixed in the last update ( PS4 v1.05 / Xbox One v1.0.0.10 ) where, rarely, uninvited non-squad members could join a Squad Online Session, or Squad members could not join one of their own.
Xbox One :
Readjusted the search algorithm when searching for another player’s session to join.
Also be sure to read notes on previous update on Capcom-Unity .
From the sweet melodies of Astera to the dangerous eerie grooves of the Rotten Vale battle theme, you can now listen to your favorite Monster Hunter: World music anytime, anywhere!
The Monster Hunter: World Original Soundtrack is now available on the iTunes store, featuring a total of 83 tracks that’ll keep you in the hunting mood even when you’re not playing the game.
With so many monsters, environments and epic encounters, composing this soundtrack was no small feat, and required a full squad of composers including Tadayoshi Makino (Monster Hunter Tri, Dragon’s Dogma, Monster Hunter Generations), Akihiko Narita (Monster Hunter 2, Devil May Cry 4, Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 6, Monster Hunter Generations, Resident Evil 7 biohazard), Yuko Komiyama (Mega Man X7, Mega Man X Command Mission, Mega Man X8, Monster Hunter 2, Monster Hunter Tri), and Zhenlan Kang, for whom this is the first OST with Capcom. And of course, the original Monster Hunter theme “Proof of a Hero” credit goes to Masato Kouda.
Head on over to iTunes ( US / UK ) to download this amazing soundtrack, and be sure to let us know which are your favorite tracks. I’ve always had a soft spot for the Kushala Daora battle theme and I’m happy to say that it’s better than ever before!

Blanka, the second character of Season 3, will officially roll in to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition on February 20! Watch his electrifying gameplay trailer below!
First appearing in Street Fighter II, Blanka (birth name, Jimmy), survived a plane crash over the Amazon and learned to fend for himself by fighting wild animals and developing survival skills. He eventually found his way to civilization where he met Sakura and Dan, and developed deep friendships with them over time. Blanka’s mother, Samantha, happened to see him on TV and tearfully reunited with him to bring him home.
In SFV: AE, Blanka is living peacefully with his mother, and has adapted well to being introduced back into society. One day, a suspicious salesman approaches him and offers a way to make Blanka famous by mass producing a doll made in Blanka’s likeness. Will it work? Find out in his character story mode!
Blanka’s gameplay remains animalistic in nature and sees him scratching, leaping, and pummeling opponents reflecting his time in the jungle. He retains his signature Electric Thunder attack that emits electrical currents around his entire body, which can be continuously performed by repeatedly pressing his punch buttons. Also returning are his multiple rolling attacks, which can be used to approach opponents from different angles or used as a combo ender.
New to Blanka’s arsenal is a command grab called Wild Hunt, where he leaps forward and viciously scratches the opponent before throwing them a set distance away from him. This addition to his move set opens up more opportunities for Blanka to be aggressive.
V-Skill: Coward Crouch
Blanka immediately ducks for cover for a short time before rising back up. His V-Skill can avoid many attacks, including fireballs. After performing Coward Crouch, Blanka can follow up with either Wild Lift (Punch Button) or Raid Jump (Kick Button). Wild Lift sees Blanka move forward while swinging his arms up to launch the opponent in the air and can be followed up by a normal, special move, or even a Critical Art. Using Raid Jump, Blanka swiftly jumps in the air where he can use any mid-air attack to advance.
V-Trigger I: Jungle Dynamo
Blanka’s V-Trigger I gives his special roll attacks more damage and can then be followed up by certain attacks, including his Critical Art. It also powers up his Electric Thunder and changes the animation so Blanka steps forward while unleashing the electric current. On hit, the opponent is launched slightly in the air and can be followed up with a rolling attack.
Finally, Jungle Dynamo unlocks Ground Shave Rolling (HP+HK), which can be used as a combo extender or a way to charge in. This move was a super move in previous games, but is now a special move in SFV: AE.
V-Trigger II: Lightning Beast
Lightning Beast unlocks a special move, Rolling Cannon (Direction + HP+HK), which can be performed after using Rolling Attack, Back Step Rolling, and Vertical Rolling. Rolling Cannon can be used in multiple ways, such as extending a combo for more damage or changing positions to surprise the opponent.
Critical Art: Dynamic Rolling
In this Critical Art, Blanka slams his opponent into the ground in a series of electrifying rolls that ends in a move reminiscent of Lightning Cannonball from Street Fighter IV.
Blanka is available individually for MSRP $5.99 or 100,000 Fight Money OR as part of the Season 3 Character Pass for MSRP $29.99, which unlocks Sakura, Falke, Cody, G, and Sagat as they become available. If you purchase Blanka as part of the Season 3 Character Pass or with real money, you will also get his Battle Costume with colors 3-10 and default costume colors 3-10. Take a look at Blanka’s Battle Costume, quirky Story Costume, and Nostalgia below!
