Hey all! My name is Dan, and I’m here to invite you all to my Saikyo Dojo! Just kidding… although I am named Dan after all! I am the new Social Media & Community Specialist at Capcom U.S.A. and will be in charge of looking after Street Fighter here. Here’s a little background about myself:
I have been a gamer since I was 3 years old and have worked in the gaming industry for over 10 years across several different jobs. I’m also an avid Street Fighter player and have been playing the series since I was a young lad in the arcades during the 90s to the present day. I’ve always enjoyed Street Fighter on a competitive level and have participated in various tournaments throughout the years. While I will be retiring from the competitive scene with my new position here at Capcom, I am super excited to now be working directly with the brilliant minds behind Street Fighter! My character mains have varied throughout the games, such as Rose, Seth, and Hakan in Ultra Street Fighter IV and Laura in Street Fighter V. My taste in main characters seems to change over time and with each game, so I suppose you can consider me an eclectic player.
I’m also a huge fan of Capcom’s other brands such as Monster Hunter, Ace Attorney and Mega Man. In addition to gaming tournaments, I like to attend many gaming and anime conventions, and of course, play many kinds of games. Other than fighting games, I also play FPS games like Overwatch as well as mobile card games like Shadowverse and Teppen.
I am looking forward to working with the Street Fighter team and I can’t wait to get to know all of you as I spread the Saikyo ways (and my love of Street Fighter) all over the world!

That’s a wrap on Capcom Cup 2019, as another highly entertaining season of the Capcom Pro Tour (CPT) is in the books. Congrats to the champ, to all the World Warriors who competed and to everyone who made CPT 2019 one of the most hype seasons yet. Crowning the champion wasn’t the only post-event excitement, as we also shared more news on Street Fighter V: Champion Edition. Seth, the “King of Chaos” and boss character from Street Fighter IV, was announced as character #40 in Street Fighter V and will be taking form on February 14, 2020, when the full version of Champion Edition releases. And just in time for the holidays, the December update has been released, making Gill, the “Sun Chase Moon” stage, V-Skill II and a new battle balance available now for current players. Continue reading for further details on Seth, the December update and more! The Street Fighter series has played host to many iconic bosses. The first entry in the series had Sagat and Street Fighter II: The World Warrior introduced us to M. Bison and his malevolent Psycho Power. And who could forget Street Fighter III: New Generation and the resurrection of the messiah-like Gill. All three of these badass bosses have made the generational leap to Street Fighter V: Champion Edition. And now, Street Fighter IV’s Seth is coming to Champion Edition, rounding off the boss gauntlet from the main Street Fighter series. You may be wondering why Seth looks somewhat different than in Street Fighter IV. In truth, Seth is more machine than human, and was never male or female to begin with. Seth’s exact origins were never made abundantly clear, but this character didn’t make it through the events of Street Fighter IV entirely unscathed. The form you see here is the remnants of Seth’s biological brain paired with the body of Doll Unit Zero. It’s a different look, to be sure, but Seth still speaks with the same voice and craves both M. Bison’s demise and data on the strongest fighters. V-Skill 1 – Tanden Engine In Street Fighter IV, Seth had already collected data on many strong attacks. In Street Fighter V, Seth’s ability to steal opponent’s moves is taken to a whole new level with V-Skill 1, Tanden Engine. By successfully punishing or catching the opponent off-guard with Tanden Engine’s vacuum-like effect, Seth can steal a special move. From Balrog, it’s Turn Punch. From Chun-Li, it’s Lightning Legs. From Sagat, it’s Tiger Knee. And from who Seth hates the most, it’s Double Knee Press. Each of these stolen moves gives Seth access to something uniquely different, but perhaps due to corrupted memory, Seth can only use it once before needing to steal it again. V-Skill 2 – Tanden Booster Rather than stealing, Tanden Booster is all about adding momentum to Seth’s pre-installed specials moves. Tapping this V-Skill 2 will make Seth dash forward from a full screen away. Tapping it again will cancel the dash before it finishes. Inputting one of Seth’s special attacks during the dash will have a variety of effects. The Hecatoncheires rapid punches becomes Hecatoncheires Glide, a move that’s safe on block but leaves the opponent standing and in idle mix-up range on hit. The Cruel Disaster pirouette kick becomes Spin Pendulum, a move that causes a knockdown and can be used for oki. The other advantage of Tanden Booster is that you can combo into it from Seth’s target combo and standing heavy punch. V-Trigger 1 – Tanden Ignition In Champion Edition, the glory of the Tanden Engine is unleashed with Tanden Ignition. This three bar V-Trigger unlocks teleporting follow-ups for all four of Seth’s special moves. The Hecatoncheires leads into the Titanomachy gut punch. The Mad Cradle dragon punch transitions into the Mad Spin descending drill. The Cruel Disaster morphs into the Cyclone Disaster crescent kick – leaving the window open for a combo extension. And the Annihilate Sword dive kick shifts seamlessly into the Hell’s Gate upturned palm thrust. But that’s not all. Tanden Ignition is also compatible with many stolen moves. Ken’s Dragon Punch into Mad Spin for 14 hits? Sure you can! V-Trigger 2 – Tanden Maneuver Tanden Maneuver turns Seth into a pinball wizard. Upon activation, Seth will summon a large sphere of energy. You can move the sphere in different directions up to four times before the sphere dissipates. The sphere can strike the opponent while moving – with the potential of putting them into a juggle state – or it can be left in place to act as a stationary projectile. Seth can also detonate the sphere early with Tanden Explode. If the opponent is caught by this, they’ll be sent skyward. But if they choose to block, Seth will be left at significant (as high as plus nine) frame advantage. Suffice to say, this two-bar V-Trigger 2 is the more technical of the two and has a lot of set-up potential for players to discover. Critical Art – Tanden Destruction/Tanden Extreme Rather than drawing the opponent into the Tanden Engine as in Street Fighter IV, Seth draws them into a large sphere of energy as the Tanden Engine goes into overdrive. In the final moments of Tanden Destruction, the opponent is propelled into the arena wall with significant force. However, if Seth has V-Trigger 1 active, Tanden Destruction becomes Tanden Extreme. This overclocked Critical Art lets us witness the true power of the Tanden Engine as Seth summons a doppelganger to intensify the destructive forces at play. The end result is more damage and a face crushing connection with the fourth wall. Seth will be joining the Street Fighter V: Champion Edition roster when the full version releases on February 14, but the new December update is available now for current players. Here’s a rundown of what’s available: Gill The leader of the Secret Society and a master of elemental balance, Gill has officially graced the illustrious roster with his presence in Street Fighter V: Champion Edition. With the ability to control both fire and ice, Gill’s fierce punch will be engulfed in flames, while his standing roundhouse will hit opponents with a frozen force. Gill can be acquired separately beginning today for MSRP $5.99 / €5.99 / £4.99 or 100,000 Fight Money and will be added to the roster in the full version of Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, available on February 14, 2020. “Sun Chase Moon” Stage Gill’s home base, the new “Sun Chase Moon” stage, offers a perfectly balanced locale for players to light up the day and rule the night. This all-new stage is available now for MSRP $3.99 / €3.99 / £3.29 or 70,000 Fight Money and will be included in the full version of Street Fighter V: Champion Edition . V-Skill 2 Beginning today, all new V-Skills are being added to every character in Street Fighter V: Champion Edition. There are so many other awesome new V-Skills that we can’t wait for you to try out. There’s M. Bison’s teleporting cross-up knee that’s plus one on block. There’s Birdie’s weaponised bubble gum projectile that he can blow to different sizes. There’s Alex’s new charge that lets him cancel his special moves into each other. There’s Abigail’s rolling tire projectile that he can whack in different directions. And there’s Cody’s high or low dodge that gives him a few frames of strike intangibility before letting him follow up with a hook or sweep. These new V-Skills and the new balance patch changes are available for all existing Street Fighter V owners as a free download beginning today. New Battle Balance As mentioned previously, a new battle balance is available now as a free download for current players. There are a lot of details to share, so go here to find out what changes and improvements have been made to your favourite fighters. And now, to put a bow on this blog, we wanted to share this all-new trailer for Street Fighter V: Champion Edition … Street Fighter V: Champion Edition includes all content (excluding Fighting Chance costumes, brand collaboration costumes and Capcom Pro Tour DLC) from both the original release and Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. It also includes each character, stage and costume that released after Arcade Edition and will release for Champion Edition. That means 40 characters, 34 stages and over 200 costumes! For current owners of any version of Street Fighter V, the Upgrade Kit for MSRP $24.99 / €24.99 / £19.99 offers INSTANT ACCESS to Gill, the “Sun Chase Moon” stage and all available Champion Edition content as it becomes available leading up to the launch date. For new players, Street Fighter V: Champion Edition will be available physically and digitally on PlayStation 4 and as a digital download on Steam for MSRP $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 on February 14, 2020. Thanks to street fighters around the world for the continued support and for an amazing 2019 – we look forward to sharing more next year. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

Alongside all six adventures (and other bonus content) included in Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection, you’ll also be getting some fun additions – mini games from the original Zero and ZX releases! We also have some updates on a brand new illustration created by Keisuke Mizuno, artist for the Mega Man X series – so read on for a sneak peek!
There are over 20 mini games included in Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection, each bringing their own unique challenge for you to tackle. Taking control of one of each game’s heroes, or even characters you can’t normally use, you’ll be tasked with a wide variety of challenges – some of which are very different from regular gameplay! Here’s a sample of what to expect:
MEGA MAN ZERO 3
Copy X
As Copy X, you’ll be using thunder, fire, and ice elements in a pseudo-puzzle game. Use Copy X’s element-based shots to destroy panels on a conveyor belt. Seems simple enough, but you’ll have to remember which element is weak to which and change elements on the fly.
Hidden Phantom
The most elusive of Neo Arcadia’s Four Guardians steps out of the shadows for this one. You’ll need to make some nimble jumps from one shuriken to the next to reach your goal. The shuriken move, so watch where they are and make each leap count!
MEGA MAN ZERO 4
“Elf Chase”
This game is particularly unique. Armed with only a lamp light, you’ll need to maneuver a Scrap Elf (an enemy from Zero 4) into a beam of light on the other side of the stage. It seems simple enough, but you’d be surprised how slippery your target can be! You’re under a strict time limit, so take care in how you move through the stage.
“Lava Surf”
In this challenging mini game, you’ll have to hot foot it across three separate platforms and put out rising flames. While you’ll earn bonus points for putting out fires before reaching the top, you can also lose time if you don’t keep your cool – literally! Avoid the flames and the lava below, and go for a high score.
MEGA MAN ZX
“Energy Converter”
This mini-game makes an appearance in the Area C-2 game room after you’ve completed the game. While it looks deceptively simple and can be a bit daunting at first, you’ll need to pair the falling jewels with a matching color beneath them. Give it a few rounds and you’ll be smashing jewels and enemies in no time!
MEGA MAN ZX ADVENT
“Quiz Advent”
Think you know everything there is to know about ZX Advent? This quiz will challenge how well you know the characters with three quiz types: the Zoom quiz, the Silhouette quiz, and the Gap quiz.
You may have seen a preview of this incredible artwork by Keisuke Mizuno already, but in case you missed it, here’s a sketch featuring Zero as he’s seen in the Mega Man X games crossing over with Zero in the Mega Man Zero games:

We’re also pleased to show you how the line art for this piece is coming along! You’ll be able to see the final, fully colored illustration via the in-game gallery, too.

And don’t forget – pre-orders and pre-purchases (at participating retailers) will include the Reploid Remixes DLC, a selection of six remixed tunes that can optionally replace in-game tracks as well as four additional bonus tracks for the in-game music player.
With all this added content on top of the art gallery, music player, Z Chaser and of course all six games, we hope you’re looking forward to Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection when it releases on February 25 th , 2020!

Dr. Wily has taken control of the five Greatwyrms, and only one legendary hero can stop him! Get all the details you need on how to add Mega Man to your team in this crossover with Dragalia Lost .
The Mega Man: Chaos Protocol event is now live in Dragalia Lost, bringing with it a Mega Man-inspired story and adding the Blue Bomber as a member of your in-game team. While this event ends on December 15 th , you can increase your friendship level with Mega Man by adding him to your team to clear quests. If you maximize your friendship level with Mega Man during the event, he’ll stick around after the event is over as a permanent team member!
Alongside some memorable faces from the Mega Man games, attacks and animations have been faithfully re-created too, including the ability to slide, charge up the Mega Buster, and even summon Rush to ride around in Rush Jet form! Plus, there are additional arranged versions of classic Mega Man tunes to listen to.
The event end son December 15 th at 9:59 AM Pacific, so don’t miss out! For more information on Dragalia Lost and the Mega Man: Chaos Protocol event, check out the official event page .

The Grand Finals wasn’t the only hype moment at this year’s North America Regional Finals, as we also announced Street Fighter V: Champion Edition! This action-packed new version includes all content (excluding Fighting Chance costumes, brand collaboration costumes and Capcom Pro Tour DLC) from both the original release and Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. It also includes each character, stage and costume that released after Arcade Edition and will release for Champion Edition. That’s 40 characters, 34 stages and over 200 costumes, making Champion Edition the most stacked version of Street Fighter V yet! Read on for more info on Champion Edition, Gill and the new November content!
Street Fighter V: Champion Edition will be available physically and digitally on PlayStation 4 and as a digital download on Steam for MSRP $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 beginning on February 14, 2020. Anyone who pre-orders Champion Edition in North America (other territories may vary) will receive a fierce-looking new costume color for each character. For current owners of any version of Street Fighter V, there’s also a handy Upgrade Kit for MSRP $24.99 / €24.99 / £19.99 that grants you instant access to all available Champion Edition content as it becomes available leading up to the launch date.

As always, all game mode additions and balance updates are free for owners of any Street Fighter V version. In fact, all-new V-Skills (V-Skill 2) are being added for each character and, along with a new balance update, will be available for free to current players next month. All DLC characters can still be purchased separately or earned free-of-charge by completing various in-game challenges and receiving Fight Money.
Gill
Now, on a more angelic note, Champion Edition heralds the return of Gill, the leader of the Secret Society and the end boss of the Street Fighter III series. Anyone who finished SFV ’s “A Shadow Falls” story mode will remember the final sequence where Gill was shown to be plotting behind the scenes. Gill is now ready to reveal himself to the world, as he sets out to fulfil the prophecy that the Secret Society has coveted since ancient times. Gill will be added to the Street Fighter V roster as part of Street Fighter V: Champion Edition in February 2020 or can be acquired separately starting in December for MSRP $5.99 / €5.99 / £4.99 or 100,000 Fight Money.
Gill is a master of both Pyrokinesis and Cryokinesis, being able to control fire and ice with perfect elemental balance (hence his outward appearance). All his heavy normal attacks, and all but one of his special moves, have an elemental alignment. When Gill throws out a fierce punch, it’ll be engulfed in flames, and when he lets fly with a standing roundhouse, it’ll hit opponents with a frozen force. But these hot and cold flashes aren’t just for show. They also form the cornerstone of Gill’s unique mechanic – Retribution (bet you’re glad we didn’t say Resurrection).

V-Skill 1 – Divine Comet
Depending on which V-Trigger is selected, Divine Comet will summon either an ice or fire-based projectile. If this missile hits the opponent, they’ll be afflicted with either a flaming aura that slowly reduces grey life or a frozen veil that stops their stun gauge from recovering. If Gill then hits the opponent with an elementally opposed strike, the word “Retribution” appears on screen and the rules get rewritten. His overhead causes a hard knockdown, his standing fierce punch leaves him at plus 10 on hit and he gets more opportunities for juggles and air resets.
V-Skill 2 – Blocking
Blocking can be performed against mid/high attacks or low to deflect the opponent’s attack. It’s effective against strikes and projectiles and it can also be rapidly chained into itself for those “Moment #37” opportunities.
V-Trigger 1 – Primal Fire
Primal Fire powers up Gill’s fire-based special attacks, causing them to set the opponent on fire without having to spend any bar on their EX versions. It also unlocks two additional flaming attacks. Burn Storm is a burning tempest that can be cancelled from most of Gill’s normal attacks and Flame Javelin is a fast moving projectile that strikes the ground like a mini meteorite.
V-Trigger 2 – Ice of Doom
Ice of Doom is the arctic opposite of Primal Fire, in that it buffs Gill’s ice-based specials. It also unlocks two additional moves that are less spicy and more icy. Tree of Frost is a frozen pillar of spikes that rapidly grows from Gill’s outstretched palm. If it strikes the opponent while they’re in a burning state, the Retribution effect will cause a wall bounce. Delay Freeze Lance sets a frosty trap on the ground that functions like a proximity mine. Should the opponent be careless enough to trigger it without blocking, the ensuing detonation will freeze them in place and leave them open for an unabridged combo.
“Sun Chase Moon” Stage
In keeping with their namesake, the Secret Society have hidden bases spread across the globe. The new Sun Chase Moon stage houses one such base, looking suspiciously similar to the spiralling structure shown during Urien’s ending in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. On one side of the stage, the sun looms intently with fierce beams of light, while on the other, the moon hangs in the sky with seemingly perpetual twilight. The structure in the middle also lights up with ancient runes when either player secures a round. The Sun Chase Moon stage will be added to Street Fighter V: Champion Edition or available separately in December for MSRP $3.99 / €3.99 / £3.29 or 70,000 Fight Money.
Holiday Content
As if all this news wasn’t festive enough, there’s more! Beginning on November 18 th , new holiday-themed content will be available in Street Fighter V! Light up the holidays with themed costumes for G, Poison and Lucia for MSRP $3.99 / €3.99 / £3.29. And in weather-related news, a blizzard has apparently hit Metro City and transformed Abigail’s auto shop into a “Holly Jolly Beatdown” winter wonderland! Add this new stage to your collection for MSRP $1.99 / €1.99 / £1.69 or 40,000 Fight Money. The holiday costumes are available on Nov 18 and the stage is coming later this month!

Extra Battle: Blanka (Nergigante)
And finally, for our Monster Hunter fans out there, we’ve got something special. Street fighting and monster hunting go together like, well… Blanka and Nergigante. From November 22 nd through December 20 th , if SFV players get a “Quest Complete” in Extra Battle mode, they’ll be rewarded with a new Blanka costume carved from Nergigante, a ferocious spiky Elder Dragon first introduced in Monster Hunter: World. Current Monster Hunter World: Iceborne players can battle the all-new (and even more ferocious and spiky) Ruiner Nergigante in this recently released expansion!

Ok, that’s all for now, but more exciting Street Fighter V content is in the works. As a reminder, don’t forget to attend (or view) Capcom Cup 2019 (Dec 13-15 in Los Angeles), the culmination of the 2019 Capcom Pro Tour. A winner will be crowned and another new SFV announcement may be coming your way too!

Heads up, Mega Fans: Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection will now be released on February 25, 2020. Read on for a message from Kazuhiro Tsuchiya, Mega Man Series Producer, and a bit more info about this new release date.
As many of you are aware, Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection was initially planned for release on January 21, 2020. However, the team made the tough decision to move the game’s release date back in order to bring you the best possible collection of these cherished classics and deliver a game that will live up to your expectations.
To paraphrase Mr. Tsuchiya’s words, the team greatly appreciates your patience and support and is fully committed to offering the best game possible in late February. We know this is disappointing for those of you who have been excited about this collection since the day we first announced it, and we appreciate your patience.
