Also included in the Premier Pass are five exclusive titles, two exclusive fighter profile themes, and 10,000 Fight Money!

The CPT 2022 costumes for Seth, Akira, and M. Bison and the Ring of Arcade stage can also be purchased separately.

CAP-JAMS Background Tracks

Our sound team’s band CAP-JAMS recorded snazzy remixes of each Season 5 character’s themes. Previously, these were only available on the official Street Fighter YouTube channel, but with this update, they can now be set as background battle tracks in-game to offer all the inspiration and energy for each match.

Thank you to all our players throughout Street Fighter V’s past six years! It has been an incredible journey and we couldn’t do it without you. We hope you check out the Definitive Update!

Exoprimal unleashes a battle of the ages in 2023!

Mar 09, 2022 // Kellen Haney

Teams of five players in futuristic Exosuits clash with swarms of unyielding beasts from the distant past in Exoprimal, a brand-new IP from Capcom!

FUTURE TECH

In the near future, strange occurrences are threatening humanity’s existence. Vortexes are opening in the sky, flooding cities with deadly creatures from the prehistoric era. As raptors cascade from above and Tyrannosaurus Rexes stomp through the streets, it’s up to squads of five brave Exofighters in mechanized combat armor, known as Exosuits, to fight back against the dinosaurs who threaten to push humanity toward extinction.

Exosuits are the last line of defense holding off the ravenous reptiles laying waste to the modern world, and squads will need to make smart choices about what suits they bring into any given situation. Repelling thousands of dinosaurs is no easy task, so you’ll need to make sure your crew is ready for anything… including a potential clash with another team of Exofighters.

ANCIENT THREAT

In Exoprimal’s primary game mode, Dino Survival, you’ll be competing against a rival squad to complete dynamic objectives. At times, that means tearing through dinosaurs, while at other times that means transporting cargo or protecting a critical point from relentless assaults. You can even receive orders to interfere with the opposing team or take them out directly, so be ready for anything!

FIGHTING BACK

Each Exosuit has a specific role in combat that can complement your squad’s tactics. Deadeye keeps a healthy distance while unleashing a hail of destructive force with powerful assault weapons. The melee-range Zephyr carves a path through hordes of smaller dinosaurs. The tank-like Roadblock bears a massive shield to hold off swarms of enemies, while the Witchdoctor ensures allies stay healthy and ready to re-engage. Thanks to the efforts of the Aibius Corporation, Exosuits can be swapped out in the middle of combat, allowing your team to change tactics at a moment’s notice without having to disengage from a fight.

GUIDING AI

Aibius is also behind the development of Leviathan, an artificial intelligence which is instrumental in predicting where vortexes will open next. Leviathan acts as a navigator, providing constantly evolving objectives throughout each match, and instructing your squad on what your next task will be.

DINOSAUR FORECAST: MEDIUM

Your elite team will always be outnumbered by massive swarms of dinosaurs, but between the power of Exosuits and Leviathan’s guidance, you’ll be able to slowly piece together what’s going on in the world of Exoprimal. As you play, you’ll unlock narrative elements and story threads that will weave together to provide more insight into this near-future world plagued by dinosaur outbreaks.

Finally, we have an overview of the game directly from the developers – check out the video below for more information on what you can expect from Exoprimal’s battle of the ages.

STAY TUNED

Interested in becoming an Exofighter? We’ll have more info to share later this year, so be sure to follow @Exoprimal on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for all the latest vortex reports and dinosaur forecasts. Get ready to suit up in 2023 when Exoprimal lands on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam!

You may become humanity’s greatest hope.

Welcome to Monster Hunter Rise, now available on Steam

Jan 13, 2022 // Yuri Araujo

The hunt is on! Monster Hunter Rise is now available on PC / Steam!

With new Hunters joining forces to battle the impending Rampage, we wanted to give everyone a quick tour of their new hometown: the peaceful and vibrant village of Kamura!

While the quick tips we’re sharing here will aid you throughout your time in Kamura, there’s even more to discover, so make sure to explore the village and introduce yourself to everyone!

The Buddy Plaza

The Buddy Plaza is an area bustling with activity and useful features! You’ll unlock the Buddy Plaza as soon as you’ve completed the first Training Quest, “Back to Basics”.

Rondine – The Trader

Rondine and her ship, The Argosy, allow you to use your Buddies (Palicos and Palamutes) to go on trading missions to bulk earn you a range of useful items to help you in hunts. You can also trade Kamura Points for specific items!

If you’re wondering what to start trading for first, Honey is a great choice to stock up on as it’ll allow you to create plenty of Mega Potions by combining the Honey with a standard Potion.

Iori – The Buddy Scout

Iori adores Palicos and Palamutes, as such he’s where you want to go when you’re looking to recruit more Buddies!

You can use his scouting feature to search for your ideal Palicos and Palamutes. When deciding who to hire, be sure to look at their skills and info as each buddy is different and brings their own style and abilities to the hunt!

Kogarashi – The Felyne Chief

Kogarashi leads the Meowcenaries, a band of Buddies who can go out on missions to areas you’ve explored! Whilst there, they’ll investigate the area and harvest materials to bring back for you!

To send your Buddies out, simply talk to Kogarashi, select four of your finest and off they’ll go!

After the completion of their research, head back to the Chief to claim your rewards! If you’re lucky they may even bring back rare and unique items…

Shirubei – The Buddy Expert

Shirubei heads up the Buddy Dojo, a useful feature that allows you to train and level-up your Buddies when they aren’t out on hunts with you or participating in other activities.

The higher a Buddies’ level, the more effective they are in combat and Buddy Plaza activities so training them up is worth it!

For a small Kamura Points fee you can train up to six buddies at once. As soon as you start to grow your Buddy pool we recommend sending anyone that’s idle here!

The Training Area

We’ve gone over training your Buddies, so let’s look at a place for you to train!

The Training Area can be found near Rondine in the Buddy Plaza, simply interact with this boat and you’ll arrive there. (Once doing this you can fast travel there in the future!)

The Training Area features a mechanical Toadversary that is perfect for practicing combat! Whether you’re looking to try a new weapon for the first time or hone your skills and combos with an existing one, this is the place to do it in safety.

Bonus Tip: Items and ammo used here aren’t consumed, so go wild!

Gear Crafting – Hamon & Kisaki

This one might seem obvious, but it can be easy to forget your local Blacksmith Hamon and his assistant Kisaki when progressing through quests!

Hamon is the person you’ll want to see when it comes to both forging new armor and weapons, as well as upgrading their strength!

Your starting Kamura armor can only take you so far, so we’d advise making a new set as soon as you start fighting large monsters! The same can be said for your weapons, so make sure to check for upgrades and new weapon trees regularly – especially after fighting a new, large monsters for the first time!

Online Play & Event Quests – Senri the Mailman

Senri the Mailman is a friendly Felyne and vendor who not only allows you to join / create an online multiplayer lobby, but also download free item packs, Event Quests and more! Bonus Tip: Beginners should consider trying out some of the useful armor Senri can give you, like the Guild Cross pieces!

In Monster Hunter Rise there are two main ways to play online with other Hunters. One way is to use the Quest Board within the Gathering Hub to join specific, in-progress quests where the host has issued a Join Request (you can issue these too as a quest host).

The second method is to talk to Senri and select “Play Online”. From there you can search for a lobby to join with other players or create your own!

We hope these quick introductions will help you settle in and make the most of your time in Kamura.

One more bonus tip before we go: keep an eye on our Steam Community page for the latest news and announcements pertaining specifically to the PC version of Monster Hunter Rise.

Happy Hunting!

Luke, Street Fighter V’s Final Character, has Entered the Ring!

Nov 29, 2021 // Dan

Street Fighter V’s final character has arrived, bringing with him an offensive playstyle and unique mechanics never seen before in SFV. With his confident demeanor, Luke is looking to make a major impact in the world of Street Fighter, present and future.

We did a deep dive into Luke and his gameplay mechanics in SFV during the SFV Fall Update, so be sure to check out the video and blog for all the details.

Street Fighter’s Future is Luke-ing bright!

Brand new to the Street Fighter series, Luke is an eager and headstrong character who experiences a tragic childhood event that brings him to enlist in the U.S. military.

By playing Luke’s story you’ll discover more about how he came to meet up with other members of the SFV cast and how he ties in to the overarching narrative.

Combining Military with MMA

Luke’s various costumes incorporate aspects of his military background and MMA-inspired fighting style. Here’s SFV Director Takayuki Nakayama to explain the inspiration with these concept art images:

Default Costume

The BUCKLER written on the upper right is a private military company. The president of the company saw Luke’s performance and felt that he was a young and active fighter, and decided to sponsor him.”

Story Costume

Luke has a unique way of wearing his uniforms. He is not particular about his clothes and doesn’t seem to care much about the size of his shoes. He seems to have a habit of stepping on the heels of his shoes.”

Battle Costume

“Luke has loved basketball since he was a child and today he loves both sports and action games. However, he stays away from horror games as they’re too scary.”

Luke is Fully Armed and Ready

Shown off during the SFV Fall Update, Luke’s move set involves unique mechanics that are brand new to SFV. In addition to standards, such as a zoning projectile in “Sand Blaster” or an anti-air with “Rising Rocket,” Luke comes equipped with various target combos and methods of getting in on his opponents.

Take advantage of Luke’s armory of offensive tools to get in on opponents!

His V-Trigger is special in that the V-Timer increases as time goes by or as he does damage using specific moves, giving him an edge against opponents who run away once Luke activates his V-Trigger. On the other hand, if Luke takes damage, his V-Timer decreases, rewarding opponents who manage to stay on offense versus Luke.

Keep an eye on Luke’s V-Timer as he deals damage or receives it!

And that wraps up the introduction of Luke! Luke’s here to make waves in SFV, but he’s also preparing to be a major player in the next Street Fighter project. Luke is available now on PlayStation 4 and Steam as part of the Season 5 Character Pass, the Season 5 Premium Pass, and individually for $5.99 or 100,000 Fight Money.

Get Luke as part of the Season 5 Character or Premium Passes

Also don’t miss out discounts on SFV, Champion Edition, and the Upgrade Kit through the PlayStation Black Friday Sale (ending soon!) and Steam Autumn Sale!

With Luke’s inclusion, the SFV cast rounds out to a total of forty-five characters, full of newcomers as well as returning veterans. This completes the Season 5 Character and Premium passes! Although Luke is the last character in SFV, there’s still more content coming next year! We still have a Battle Balance update to look forward to in March 2022 as well as the Capcom Pro Tour 2022 bundle. Once again, we thank you all for your continued support throughout these years and look forward to bringing you more Street Fighter news soon!

Street Fighter’s Future is Here: Meet Luke

Nov 23, 2021 // Dan

Hey there, fighters! Over a year ago in the summer of 2020, we set out to improve communication with the Street Fighter V community. Since then, we’ve hosted four digital events delving into upcoming Street Fighter V content. The SFV Fall Update marks our fifth and final digital event focused on SFV, culminating with a deep dive into Luke, the game’sfinal character. Luke will be a major part of the next Street Fighter project, so we hope you are excited to get your hands on him. While we’re not quite ready to speak about that project just yet, we have plenty of details to share about Luke in SFV, our collaboration with Brawlhalla, and Capcom Cup VIII!

Catch the full SFV Fall Update here:

Luke is Amped and Ready to Go in SFV!

We kicked off the SFV Fall Update with a preview of Luke’s story. SFV’s newest character experiences a dramatic childhood event involving his father that inspires him to become a fighter and join the military.

During Luke’s military service, he runs into a familiar face. We won’t spoil too much more here, so be sure to play Luke’s Character Story to learn more!

Luke Keeps on the Offense
Luke’s fighting style is geared around forward moving attacks that keep the pressure on. All three of his normal punches propel Luke forward, allowing him to quickly close distances. Luke also has two target combos: “Triple Impact” (LP -> MP -> HP) and “Snapback Combo,” (MP x4).

Luke’s target combos are great for dealing solid damage

Luke has an arsenal of special moves to close in safely and create offensive opportunities. His go-to zoning tool is a mid-to-long range projectile called “Sand Blaster” that shoots energy from his hands. “Rising Rocket,” Luke’s trusty anti-air attack, launches him upwards to strike opponents.

Use “Sand Blaster” to zone out your opponents.
Luke’s anti-air, “Rising Rocket,” checks opponents who frequently jump.

Luke also has a forward-moving command dash called “Avenger.” This maneuver can be used in combos and allows him cover more ground. “Avenger” has two follow ups. Pressing a punch button following “Avenger” executes “No Chaser,” a shoulder charge that can be used in combos.

“No Chaser” executes a forward charge at his opponents.

Meanwhile, pressing a kick button after executing “Avenger” will have Luke use “Impaler,” a mid-range overhead kick that can catch crouching opponents.

“Impaler” hits overhead and is great for surprising opponents.

“Flash Knuckle” is Luke’s go-to combo starter and extender. Each punch leads to a different forward-moving attack. LP moves slightly forward, MP moves a bit further, and HP will go nearly half-screen.

Each “Flash Knuckle” executes a different punch and goes a set distance forward.

Holding a punch button when using “Flash Knuckle” gives it different properties, depending on the button pressed. Charge them up and experiment with each one to find which best fits your combo style.

A New Kind of V-System

Luke’s V-System has some unique aspects compared to the rest of the SFV cast, especially with his V-Triggers. For his V-Skills, Luke can either play a more in-your-face style or make some hard reads and predict opponent’s throws and command grabs.

Luke’s V-Skill I, “Hard Shot,” powers up his “Flash Knuckle” move, allowing him to use the charged version of the attack without holding the button down. Charging a “Hard Shot” enhanced “Flash Knuckle” can lead to even more devastating damage and more combo options.

Use “Hard Shot” and flex on your opponents…
and unleash a more powerful “Flash Knuckle!”

V-Skill II, “Suppressor,” has Luke take a back step before executing a close-range body blow. With proper timing, this move can excel against throws and command grabs. Utilize it to keep pressure on your opponents or when you notice them throwing a lot.

Counter throws and command grabs with “Suppressor”

When it comes to V-Triggers, Luke’s are quite special. Both V-Triggers cause his V-Gauge to become a timer that continuously fills in a neutral state. Additionally, in a first for SFV V-Triggers, Luke can gain V-Timer by doing damage. Conversely, he loses V-Timer when taking damage or using his V-Trigger-specific moves. This also forces opponents to approach and prevent Luke from maintaining a filled V-Timer. V-Trigger I, “Fully Armed,” gives Luke access to two new moves, which we revealed during the SFV Summer Update 2021. Pressing HP+HK after activation throws out three long range projectiles similar to “Sand Blaster” called “Rock Smasher.”

“Rock Smasher” lets Luke throw out 3 long range projectiles.

If you press HP+HK after an EX “Sand Blaster” while “Fully Armed” is active, the screen will slow down and Luke will throw out a flurry of impactful projectiles in quick succession called “Thermobaric Thrash.” This move adds tons of damage, but is also resource heavy. So make sure you have EX-meter for that EX “Sand Blaster!”

“Thermobaric Thrash” dishes out heavy damage but can only be used after EX “Sand Blaster.”

Luke’s V-Trigger II, “Vanguard,” lets him cancel Flash Knuckle” into another of a different strength. This opens up previously unavailable combo paths, allowing Luke to double up on “Flash Knuckles” in his combos. This V-Trigger synergizes well with V-Skill I, “Hard Shot,” allowing Luke to chain together powered up “Flash Knuckles!”

“Vanguard” can string together “Flash Knuckles” for more damage and extended combos!

Luke is fully armed and ready to enter the ring on November 29th with additional costumes. Get yourself ready by picking up the Season 5 Character or Premium Pass!

The Capcom Cup Returns

Capcom Cup is back with Capcom Cup VIII! The exciting announcement revealed that there will be Exhibition Matches, Last Chance Qualifiers, and the Street Fighter League Finals! More info on all this is coming soon, so stay tuned to the Capcom Fighters channels for updates.

Brawlhalla x Street Fighter

Ryu, Chun-Li, and Akuma have entered the Grand Tournament and are ready to throw down with the Legends of Brawlhalla! Play as classic characters from Street Fighter to K.O. your opponents while utilizing weapons and familiar moves in a new setting!

To commemorate the collaboration, there is a new Game Mode in Brawlhalla called “Street Brawl,” where players will fight Street Fighter-style with health bars on a 2-D setting. There’s also a new map added based on Ryu’s stage Suzaku Castle. Ryu, Chun-Li, and Akuma are all available now in Brawlhalla as Epic Crossovers, so be sure to pick them up as well as all the extra goodies including avatars, a K.O. effect, and more!

You can download and play Brawlhalla for free at brawlhalla.com/play.

An update on the development of PRAGMATA
