Monster Hunter: World patch updates 1.06 (PS4) and 1.0.0.11 (Xbox One) are now live; patch notes available below.
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One :
Fixed an issue that occurred when hunters had 31 or more Slashberries in their item pouch at the time of the last update ( PS4 v1.05 / Xbox One v1.0.0.10 ) where the maximum number of Slashberries a hunter can hold in their item pouch was reduced from 60 to 30. This update will move any Slashberries exceeding 30 in your item pouch to your item box.
Made additional fixes to an issue fixed in the last update ( PS4 v1.05 / Xbox One v1.0.0.10 ) where, rarely, uninvited non-squad members could join a Squad Online Session, or Squad members could not join one of their own.
Xbox One :
Readjusted the search algorithm when searching for another player’s session to join.
Also be sure to read notes on previous update on Capcom-Unity .
From the sweet melodies of Astera to the dangerous eerie grooves of the Rotten Vale battle theme, you can now listen to your favorite Monster Hunter: World music anytime, anywhere!
The Monster Hunter: World Original Soundtrack is now available on the iTunes store, featuring a total of 83 tracks that’ll keep you in the hunting mood even when you’re not playing the game.
With so many monsters, environments and epic encounters, composing this soundtrack was no small feat, and required a full squad of composers including Tadayoshi Makino (Monster Hunter Tri, Dragon’s Dogma, Monster Hunter Generations), Akihiko Narita (Monster Hunter 2, Devil May Cry 4, Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 6, Monster Hunter Generations, Resident Evil 7 biohazard), Yuko Komiyama (Mega Man X7, Mega Man X Command Mission, Mega Man X8, Monster Hunter 2, Monster Hunter Tri), and Zhenlan Kang, for whom this is the first OST with Capcom. And of course, the original Monster Hunter theme “Proof of a Hero” credit goes to Masato Kouda.
Head on over to iTunes ( US / UK ) to download this amazing soundtrack, and be sure to let us know which are your favorite tracks. I’ve always had a soft spot for the Kushala Daora battle theme and I’m happy to say that it’s better than ever before!
We hope you completed all four Extra Battle Challenges to get the Viewtiful Joe Crossover Costume for Rashid because it’s time for another! The first challenge for the June Crossover Costume for Chun-Li will start on 2/15! June is a rhythmic gymnast and shares a similar tragedy with Chun-Li. Learn more about June below, including the schedule for all four pieces of the costume.
HOW DOES EXTRA BATTLE MODE WORK?
Every month, there will be at least one unique costume like a Crossover Costume up for grabs, which can only be obtained by playing Extra Battle Mode with Fight Money. Here’s the flow of how to go about getting these costumes:
Each costume requires you to complete four challenges that take place over the span of a month – one challenge per week.
Each time you attempt one of these challenges, you will need to spend 2,500 Fight Money. So if you successfully complete each of the weekly challenges in one go, you can get that Extra Battle Costume for 10,000 FM!
Once you complete all four challenges, the costume for that month is yours!
These challenges are time exclusive, so make sure to log in each week to complete them, especially if you have your eyes on that month’s unique costume.

Blanka, the second character of Season 3, will officially roll in to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition on February 20! Watch his electrifying gameplay trailer below!
First appearing in Street Fighter II, Blanka (birth name, Jimmy), survived a plane crash over the Amazon and learned to fend for himself by fighting wild animals and developing survival skills. He eventually found his way to civilization where he met Sakura and Dan, and developed deep friendships with them over time. Blanka’s mother, Samantha, happened to see him on TV and tearfully reunited with him to bring him home.
In SFV: AE, Blanka is living peacefully with his mother, and has adapted well to being introduced back into society. One day, a suspicious salesman approaches him and offers a way to make Blanka famous by mass producing a doll made in Blanka’s likeness. Will it work? Find out in his character story mode!
Blanka’s gameplay remains animalistic in nature and sees him scratching, leaping, and pummeling opponents reflecting his time in the jungle. He retains his signature Electric Thunder attack that emits electrical currents around his entire body, which can be continuously performed by repeatedly pressing his punch buttons. Also returning are his multiple rolling attacks, which can be used to approach opponents from different angles or used as a combo ender.
New to Blanka’s arsenal is a command grab called Wild Hunt, where he leaps forward and viciously scratches the opponent before throwing them a set distance away from him. This addition to his move set opens up more opportunities for Blanka to be aggressive.
V-Skill: Coward Crouch
Blanka immediately ducks for cover for a short time before rising back up. His V-Skill can avoid many attacks, including fireballs. After performing Coward Crouch, Blanka can follow up with either Wild Lift (Punch Button) or Raid Jump (Kick Button). Wild Lift sees Blanka move forward while swinging his arms up to launch the opponent in the air and can be followed up by a normal, special move, or even a Critical Art. Using Raid Jump, Blanka swiftly jumps in the air where he can use any mid-air attack to advance.
V-Trigger I: Jungle Dynamo
Blanka’s V-Trigger I gives his special roll attacks more damage and can then be followed up by certain attacks, including his Critical Art. It also powers up his Electric Thunder and changes the animation so Blanka steps forward while unleashing the electric current. On hit, the opponent is launched slightly in the air and can be followed up with a rolling attack.
Finally, Jungle Dynamo unlocks Ground Shave Rolling (HP+HK), which can be used as a combo extender or a way to charge in. This move was a super move in previous games, but is now a special move in SFV: AE.
V-Trigger II: Lightning Beast
Lightning Beast unlocks a special move, Rolling Cannon (Direction + HP+HK), which can be performed after using Rolling Attack, Back Step Rolling, and Vertical Rolling. Rolling Cannon can be used in multiple ways, such as extending a combo for more damage or changing positions to surprise the opponent.
Critical Art: Dynamic Rolling
In this Critical Art, Blanka slams his opponent into the ground in a series of electrifying rolls that ends in a move reminiscent of Lightning Cannonball from Street Fighter IV.
Blanka is available individually for MSRP $5.99 or 100,000 Fight Money OR as part of the Season 3 Character Pass for MSRP $29.99, which unlocks Sakura, Falke, Cody, G, and Sagat as they become available. If you purchase Blanka as part of the Season 3 Character Pass or with real money, you will also get his Battle Costume with colors 3-10 and default costume colors 3-10. Take a look at Blanka’s Battle Costume, quirky Story Costume, and Nostalgia below!

Monster Hunter: World patch update version 1.05 (PS4) / 1.0.0.10 (Xbox One) has now been deployed. Read more details below, as well as a status update on the Xbox One matchmaking.
Version 1.05 (PS4) / 1.0.0.10 (Xbox One)
Squads (PlayStation 4)
Fixed an issue where the error message “Failed to retrieve squad information. Please wait and try again.” would appear and squad features would not be usable. However, as a result of this fix, players who were affected by this bug will have all of their squad data reset. Additionally, players in squads whose squad leaders have their data reset will also see any affiliated data disappear the next time they log in. We apologize sincerely for the inconvenience, and ask that you reform squads or reinvite players whose data are lost.
Fixed an issue where, rarely, uninvited non-squad members could join a Squad Online Session, or squad members could not join one of their own. Squad Online Sessions can still be joined by players outside of the squad via friend invite or Online Session ID search.
5 Million Celebration Item Pack
Fixed an issue where some players could not claim the item pack “5 Million Celebration Item Pack”. The availability for this item pack has been extended to February 22, 23:59 (UTC).
Decorations
Fixed an issue where, under certain conditions, decorations would be lost.
Fixed an issue that occurred when selecting items with the “Sell Items” option (from the item box inside base camp tents) by hiding the decorations tab.
General Light Bowgun and Heavy Bowgun ammo changes
Increased the power of Normal Ammo (1, 2, 3), Pierce Ammo (1, 2, 3), and all elemental ammo (except Dragon Ammo).
Decreased the power of Slicing Ammo, and reduced the effect it has when hitting other players.
Reduced the maximum number of Slashberries you can hold in your item pouch from 60 to 30. Players can still use any remaining extra Slashberries if they currently have more than 30 in their item pouch.
Elderseal
Readjusted the Elderseal calculation for dragon pods.
Endemic Life
Fixed an issue where information on endemic life would disappear from the Wildlife Map when moving about the field.
Quests
Fixed an issue where the assignment “Flying Sparks: Tobi-Kadachi” would not appear on the quest board after departing on a different quest in the middle of speaking with the Chief Botanist just before the quest is first assigned.
Fixed a rare bug that would cause players to lose control of their characters when completing a quest with certain start menu sub-menus open.
Xbox One matchmaking
Our development team is also working tirelessly on pinpointing the issues with matchmaking on Xbox One. We apologize for the delay and appreciate your continued patience and support as we track down and solve these issues.
In the meantime, if you’re unable to use the “Matchmake” option to connect to other hunters, you may still be able to create online lobbies, join others’ lobbies via “Filter Search”, “Invite a Friend”, connect via Xbox One LFG, or join hunts by using the “Respond to SOS” feature.
And in case you haven’t tried this yet, it’s been reported that some hunters have had success using the “Matchmake” feature after setting their NAT connection settings to “Open” on their Xbox One.
Once we have more updates, we will share them here ASAP.
Patrick Kulikowski: Hurray, it’s the weekend, so go take a sit and take a load off by playing some Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition and Monster Hunter: World! But not before checking out this fantastic Menat cosplay by @alliecatcos . Master, she really did it! She really rocked this cosplay!
Yuri Araujo: Jbob1390 from the Monster Hunter subreddit sketched up everyone’s new favorite feathered foe, of the venomous variety: Pukei-Pukei. Even if you hate the scatternut + poison cloud combos, you gotta give it up for Jbob1390’s expert crosshatching technique:

::UPDATE::
We have noticed some hunters are still experiencing matchmaking issues on the Xbox One version of the game. Our development team is currently investigating these issues; we’ll update you as soon as possible.
“So how do I get these Street Fighter outfits in my Monster Hunter?” you ask. Well, here’s how:
First up: a quick reminder these are full sets of armor that have to be equipped as one single entry and cannot be mixed with other armor pieces. However, these full armor sets can be equipped by both male and female hunters, even changing their voices to match either Ryu’s or Sakura’s.
From February 15th (4pm PST) until March 1st (4pm PST), we’ll be featuring the quest to get Ryu’s set as an exclusive early opportunity to PS4 players that also have a save data file from Street Fighter V (including Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition ).
Hunters with that save data will receive a special quest called “Down the Dark, Muddy Path.” After claiming the quest at the Housekeeper , it’ll be available under the Challenge Quests menu from the Arena Lass at the Gathering Hub .
From there, just channel your fighting spirit, complete that quest and you’ll get “SFV Tickets” as the special reward item. Bring that, along with other necessary materials, to the Smithy and you got yourself a Ryu armor set!
Hunters on PS4 that don’t have SFV save data (and hunters on Xbox One) won’t have to wait much longer, however, as the Event Quest will go back in rotation for all players at a later date. The exact timing is still to be announced, but during this time, everyone will be able to fight for their Ryu set.
And not long after that, two new Event Quests will be added to the rotation for all players (PS4 and Xbox One) and completing them will get you new “SFV Tickets,” so you can craft the Ryu and Sakura sets. By the way, check out these sets in action here:
“Oh wait a minute! How do I get THOSE ?!” you might also ask, while pointing at the Hadouken and Shoryuken on screen.
These sweet, iconic premium gestures, along with Chat Stamp sets, will be available for purchase for everyone on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Marketplace. Pricing of the extra content breakdown below:
Gesture: Street Fighter V Hadoken – $3.99 Gesture: Street Fighter V Shoryuken – $3.99 Stamp Set: Street Fighter V Set – $1.99
But this is not the end of the SF x MH tie-in. Street Fighter V players have some special Monster Hunter content to look forward to (and fight hard for) in their game too! Check out this month’s SFV:AE Extra Battle blog for more details on how to get Rathalos armor for Ken, Zinogre armor for R. Mika and Kirin armor for Ibuki.
Best of luck to all the hunters and fighters out there!
“Sisters and brothers of the Fifth Fleet, it’s time.” Monster Hunter: World is finally here! So get your hunting gear ready and set out to brave the dangers of the New World.

Torch Pod (Slinger)
Wyvernblast (Light Bowgun)
Large Barrel Bomb (Item)
Health Booster (Specialized Tool)

Petting an adorable Poogie is the perfect way to get your mind off those razor-sharp Anjanath fangs that closed on you just moments ago. Pet it (the Poogie, not the Anjanath) the right way and it’ll eventually start warming up to you, even letting you pick it up and take it all over Astera! You might even be rewarded for your kindness…
