Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is Now Available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam!

May 30, 2018 // Andy Wong

Relive the last three decades of Street Fighter with Street Fighter 30 th Anniversary Collection, now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam!

Street Fighter 30 th Anniversary Collection contains 12 classic titles that impacted arcade culture, established the fighting game genre, and paved way for our very own Capcom Pro Tour. This is the first time many of these arcade titles will be playable on consoles and PC. While the collection stays true to the arcade experience, four of the titles will also contain additional features such as online play, Training Mode, and Versus Mode!

  • Street Fighter
  • Street Fighter II
  • Street Fighter II: Champion Edition
  • Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting – Online and Training Mode
  • Super Street Fighter II
  • Super Street Fighter II Turbo – Online and Training Mode
  • Street Fighter Alpha
  • Street Fighter Alpha 2
  • Street Fighter Alpha 3 – Online and Training Mode
  • Street Fighter III
  • Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact
  • Street Fighter III: Third Strike – Online and Training Mode

OFFLINE MODES

Arcade Mode – In this classic mode heralding back to the arcades, take on a series of CPU opponents until you’re treated to each character’s unique ending. This time, no coins are needed and continues are infinite. In Street Fighter 30 th Anniversary Collection, you can now save your progress in Arcade Mode and continue later on!

Versus Mode – In order to play against another player in the arcades, they would have to interrupt your progress through Arcade Mode by inserting coins. Now, you can directly play against someone else in local Versus Mode, complete with the ability to select your stage!

Training Mode – Available in Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Street Fighter III: Third Strike, a robust Training Mode has been implemented to help you practice combos and master your character before taking the battle online. All four titles will have the option to turn on damage display, input display, dummy controls, and more! You’ll even be able to use the record and play function, similarly to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, where you can record what the dummy will do, then play it back. Each of the four games also have their own unique training options that reflect their respective systems.

ONLINE MODES

Online Arcade – Unlike offline Arcade Mode, Online Arcade Mode is all about recreating the classic experience of having a player interrupt your progress to challenge you by inserting coins. While you fight the CPU opponents, the system will be looking for online matches for you. Once one is found, your progress will be interrupted and you’ll fight another player!

Ranked Match – Care to show the world you were the champion of your local arcade? Prove it by playing ranked matches to improve your spot on the leaderboards, which can also be viewed in the online category.

Casual Match – If you’re looking to play against another player without the pressure of leaderboards or if you simply want to practice a new character, casual matches are for you! The outcome of casual matches do not reflect your position on the leaderboards.

Lobbies – Up to four players can be in one lobby at a time. When creating one, you can choose which of the four games you’d like to be available to play. If you only want to partake in Street Fighter III: Third Strike games, make sure to uncheck the other three. If more than one game is checked, players will vote for the game they’d like to play the most. When in a lobby, you can also spectate to see all the action as it goes down!

Super Street Fighter II: The Tournament Battle (Nintendo Switch) – In this platform exclusive recreation, four Nintendo Switch systems and eight controllers take part in local wireless play where up to eight players partake in a tournament of their own, complete with brackets and a crowned champion. This mode is perfect for group gatherings – and bragging rights, of course. Check out how it works in our blog here.

MUSEUM

History – Journey through this interactive timeline to learn about key dates and uncover concept art related to each game in the series.

Characters – Learn more about the world-famous characters in the Street Fighter series, including their background, likes, dislikes, and even blood type. You can also look at frame-by-frame character sprites in each of their appearances!

Music – Street Fighter is known for some unforgettable themes that have stood the test of time – some even becoming internet memes. Choose which of the 12 games you’d like to listen to the sound track of, turn up the volume, and relax as the notes of nostalgia flow through your ears.

Street Fighter 30 th Anniversary Collection is a celebration of how far the series has come in a monumental 30 years. Celebrate with us now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam!

Gear up for Mega Man 11, available October 2nd!

May 29, 2018 // Kellen Haney

Mega Man 11 slides on to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 2nd, 2018! Jump, shoot, speed, and power your way through beautiful hand-drawn environments and take down eight brand-new Robot Masters in Mega Man’s latest fight for everlasting peace. With Mega Man’s classic arsenal of tools and skills and the brand new Double Gear system at your fingertips, foil the devious Dr. Wily’s latest plot for world domination!

It’s no surprise that the mustache-twirlingly evil Dr. Wily is up to his old tricks, but this time the master of malevolence has a brand new tactic tucked away in his lab coat. Reflecting on his younger days when he studied alongside Dr. Light – the good-natured and ever-hopeful creator of Mega Man – Wily recalls a creation of his own: the Double Gear system, capable of pushing robots beyond their normal capabilities. Putting his idea into action, the unscrupulous doctor steals eight of Dr. Light’s robots to use for his own nefarious plans. At Mega Man’s request, Dr. Light installs the prototype Double Gear system in the heroic blue ‘bot, imbuing our hero with brand new skills in his quest to put a stop to Dr. Wily’s diabolical plan and continue the fight for everlasting peace.

At its core, the Double Gear System has two main functions that empower Mega Man (and players) with brand new abilities. Mega Man speeds up with the aptly-named Speed Gear, causing the world around him move much slower by comparison. If you need a moment to dodge incoming projectiles, make a desperate jump, or simply need a breather to figure out a tricky situation, the Speed Gear is just a button press away to give you a chance to escape and quickly adapt to any situation. It’s great for both newcomers who need a little extra time to figure out enemy and boss patterns, or veterans who can expertly maneuver their way around levels.

The Power Gear pushes Mega Man’s power output beyond maximum, powering up his regular buster shots and allowing him to charge his Mega Buster to an even higher level than before to unleash two charge shots at a time. Special weapons gained from defeated Robot Masters will also power up in various ways when Mega Man has the Power Gear active. Be careful how you use these new skills, though! You can turn each gear on and off at will with a quick button press, but pushing Mega Man to his limit will cause him to overheat, preventing him from using the Double Gear system until he’s cooled off a bit.

If things are looking desperate, Mega Man can also activate both gears at once when his health is critically low to slow time to a crawl and unleash his full potential in one massive, overcharged shot from his Mega Buster! Careful, though – you can’t turn this technique off once it’s active, and Mega Man will be severely weakened afterwards. Make it count!

Of course, no Mega Man game is complete without a set of Robot Masters to test your mettle against, and Mega Man 11 will introduce an additional eight bosses for our hero to send to the scrapyard. We initially revealed the design for one of these upcoming Robot Masters as part of the Mega Man 30 th Anniversary stream, but we haven’t revealed his name until now. Get ready for…

Block Man ! This vain, brick-building ‘bot has an ego the size of a pyramid, and a bit of a hero complex to go with it. Headstrong and thick as a brick, Block Man is able to form blocks out of thin air, and can use the Power Gear to change into a gargantuan form when he’s pushed to his limits. This rock-solid Robot Master is definitely no pushover, but you’ll have to navigate a series of perilous pyramids in order to reach him.

Next up is a brand-new reveal – Fuse Man ! Hopefully that wasn’t too shocking for you. This fast-thinking Robot Master resides deep within a power plant, filled with challenging platforming and tricky traps. Never one to refuse a fight, this speed demon will charge you with assault and battery if you’re not careful. Getting to his lair to begin with is a challenge on its own, with lasers that will require quick thinking to maneuver around and lots of electrified surfaces that will give you a jolt if you don’t watch where you step!

Block Man and Fuse Man are just two of the eight robots that have turned malicious due to the tinkering of Dr. Wily (how do you get a doctorate for evil, anyways?), and it’s up to Mega Man to bring them down and claim their powers as his own. Series veterans know that each Robot Master has a weakness to another Robot Master’s weapon, and a big part of the fun is figuring out who’s weak to what!

New to Mega Man 11 is how parts of Mega Man’s appearance change when he equips a Robot Master’s weapon, giving him a distinct look reminiscent of the Robot Master he’s acquired each weapon from. It’s also easier than ever to choose a power to use thanks to a new weapon wheel that can be accessed with a flick of the right thumb stick, letting you switch weapons on the fly. Helping Mega Man in his fight for everlasting peace, Roll and Auto can create useful upgrades and items to upgrade Mega Man using bolts scattered throughout stages and dropped by enemies, giving Mega Man even more versatility for combat than any previous mainline Mega Man title before.

Mega Man 11 will be playable on the show floor of E3 this year at the Capcom booth (South Hall, Booth #2223), so if you’re attending the show, activate your own Speed Gear to be one of the first to try out the Blue Bomber’s latest adventure and see the gorgeous, hand-drawn environments and vibrant characters of Mega Man 11 with your own eyes in this adventure crafted by a veteran development team at Capcom.

Mega Man 11 is also available for pre-order! Slide over to the Mega Man 11 website to pre-order either the physical or digital version of the game. Secure your pre-order to receive an exciting alternative soundtrack for use in game when it releases on October 2. (Qualifying stores only; check website for details.)

Nintendo Switch owners are in for a treat, too. Get into gear with Mega Man 11 – amiibo Edition! This special edition includes a Mega Man amiibo (Mega Man Series) featuring the Blue Bomber’s new design! Also included are a Dr. Wily logo adhesive patch, a set of four stickers, and a Robot Master stage select screen microfiber cloth so you can get equipped with everything you’ll need to enjoy Mega Man 11 wherever you go. If October just can’t come fast enough, you can catch up on the Blue Bomber’s past adventures with Mega Man Legacy Collection and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, out now for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC, offering a combined total of ten classic quests! Plus, Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 + 2 will bring eight futuristic adventures featuring Mega Man X and fellow Maverick hunters Zero and Axl to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC starting July 24th.

We’ll have even more Mega Man 11 info in the near future, so keep your eyes on the official Mega Man Twitter and Facebook page for all the latest info about Mega Man!

Cody, Metro City’s New Mayor, punches his way in to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition on June 26!

May 28, 2018 // Andy Wong

Cody Travers has served his time behind bars, but has now become the new mayor of Metro City. Although quite busy with his everyday duties, he will arrive in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition on June 26!

MEET THE MAYOR EARLY AND FOR FREE

We’re celebrating the return of Cody by hosting a free trial for two days, starting on June 25 at around 5pm PT, where all players can meet the mayor for free. The free trial will end on June 27 at 5pm PT, so make sure to clear up some room on your calendar.

During this time, you’ll be able to play Cody in Ranked and Casual Matches, Battle Lounges, Demonstrations, Trials, and Training Mode. Other modes like Arcade and Story will not be playable with the mayor.

Important Notice: Any EXP and Fight Money you earn with Cody during this time will disappear on when the free trial ends. However, if you purchase Cody any time afterwards, the earned EXP and Fight Money will automatically be credited towards your account. If you purchase the Season 3 Character Pass during this free period, the EXP and Fight Money will not disappear. Cody will be purchasable individually during the free trial.

Hailing from the beat-em-up series Final Fight – where Zeku’s pupil Guy was also introduced – Cody first appeared in the Street Fighter series in Street Fighter Alpha 3. Unable to adapt to the peace, Cody was repeatedly thrown into prison – or returned voluntarily – after causing havoc in the streets by fighting through any conflict he could find. He casually broke out of prison in Super Street Fighter IV to search for a cure for his boredom, but ultimately returned by his own free will. In Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Mike Haggar exonerates Cody of his crimes, which leads to him being the new mayor of Metro City. Though he constantly complains, Cody secretly finds a glimmer of joy in his new position. However, this doesn’t ultimately stop him from solving problems with his bare hands, knives, or pipes…

Cody’s move set in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition resembles that of his previous appearances, but altered to fit his new spiffy style. When not in V-Trigger, Cody can no longer throw rocks as a projectile or unleash a Criminal Upper like before. Instead, Cody now has Tornado Sweep, which sees him shooting a swirling gust of wind like a traditional fireball.Cody still has Ruffian Kick and Zonk Knuckle as special moves. In addition, he now has a few target combos.

V-Skill – Double Kick

A move from Final Fight, Cody quickly jumps straight up and performs two kicks in the air to both sides. Double Kick can be used as an effective anti-air and in certain situations, it can also end a combo.

V-Trigger I – Sidearm

In this two-block V-Trigger, Cody pulls out his signature knife. Sidearm increases the range on Cody’s normal punches, which also become safer on block while he’s holding the knife. He can also throw the knife by pressing HP+HK again straight at the opponent or at an upwards angle as an anti-air. After throwing the knife, Cody can then pull out his knife again by pressing HP+HK while V-Trigger I is active.

Cody also gains the Rapid Fire special move, which sees him slashing multiple times and is a great combo ender. Even if V-Trigger I’s duration ends, if Cody is still holding the knife, he’ll continue holding on to it until he either throws it or hits the opponent.

V-Trigger II – Dirty Coach

In this two-block V-Trigger, Cody is armed with his trusty pipe. With the pipe in hand, the range on Cody’s HPs are drastically increased. He also channels his inner baseball player and gains Gentle Swing by pressing HP+HK again or Gentle Upper Swing, the anti-air version.

If you’re wondering where Cody’s rocks went, they’re implemented into this V-Trigger! During V-Trigger II, Cody can use Bean Ball, which sees him tossing a rock in front of him. Though the rock has a hitbox if tossed on its own, Cody can follow up by hitting it with Gentle Swing with varying results. Depending on the timing, the rock will either hit the opponent from the air at a slight arc, smash straight into the opponent for multiple hits, or roll towards the opponent’s feet. Furthermore, if Cody follows up with Gentle Upper Swing, the rock will go flying off screen and eventually land a set distance depending on the punch button that was used.

Though Cody does lose access to Tornado Sweep with the pipe in hand, he does gain the ability to cancel some of his special moves into Gentle Swing. Much like the knife, Cody will hold on to the pipe after V-Trigger II ends until he hits the opponent with it or if the opponent blocks the hit.

Critical Art – Criminal Punisher

Cody harnesses his past behind bars and unleashes a devastating tornado reminiscent of Criminal Upper from previous games.

Cody will be available individually for MSRP $5.99 or 100,000 Fight Money OR as part of the Season 3 Character Pass for MSRP $29.99, which unlocks Sakura, Blanka, Falke, Cody, G, and Sagat as they become available. If you purchase Cody as part of the Season 3 Character Pass or with real money, you will also get his Battle Costume with colors 3-10 and default costume colors 3-10.

Take a look at Cody’s Story Costume, which pays homage to the previous mayor of Metro City.

Cody might wear this dashing Battle Costume during the many events he must attend as a mayor.

Get a reminder of Cody’s jailbird past with his Nostalgia Costume that can be altered with the special code to reveal a tank top underneath and the sleeves of his prison outfit tied at his waist.

Go further back into the past for Cody’s first appearance in Final Fight with this simple costume that can also be altered with the special code to reflect the aftermath of a street fight.

Cody will be available on June 26, but will be playable at E3 2018 at Capcom’s booth (South Hall, #2223), so stop on by to play the ex-convict! We’ll be over halfway done with Season 3, so make sure to follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook to stay up to date on all things Street Fighter !

Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2 for Nintendo Switch are out now!

May 22, 2018 // Kellen Haney

In the year 20XX, a super robot named Mega Man was created. This classic line is carried in the hearts of Mega Man fans everywhere, and now both fans and newcomers alike can enjoy ten classic adventures anywhere, anytime, across two collections with Mega Man Legacy Collection and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, available now for Nintendo Switch!

Mega Man Legacy Collection brings together Mega Man’s original six boss-busting adventures, packing the series beloved platforming gameplay into a neat new package that contains plenty of bonus content. A massive gallery of production art, concept art, box scans, manuals, and way more await you! Listen to your favorite 8-bit tunes with an included music player, and take on the thrilling challenge mode to put your skills to the test in special trials. If you have a Mega Man amiibo, you can unlock additional fan-made challenges (from this contest ), previously exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS version of the game and now making their console debut on Nintendo Switch! Plus, you can quickly recover from past mistakes thanks to the new “rewind” feature – just by holding a button, you can roll back gameplay, allowing you to pick up where you left off.

With Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, see how the series evolved through the 16-bit and 32-bit eras with Mega Man 7 and Mega Man 8. Each game brought vibrant graphics an expanded storyline and, in Mega Man 8, introduced fully voiced and animated cutscenes to the classic series for the first time. Mega Man 9 and 10 brought things back to basics just as the retro revolution was kicking off, bringing the series back to its roots with NES-style visuals and gameplay. Mega Man 9 re-introduced Mega Man’s sometimes friendly rival, Proto Man, as a playable character, while Mega Man 10 adds the ability to play as Bass, Mega Man’s nemesis, to the mix. The Nintendo Switch version also makes this the first time 9 and 10 can be played on-the-go! Just like the first collection, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 comes packed with a massive art gallery, a music player, and a challenge mode filled with unique trials. Using a Mega Man amiibo will unlock exclusive challenges for the Nintendo Switch as well!

You can grab both collections for yourself digitally via the Nintendo Switch eShop with Mega Man Legacy Collection for $14.99 and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 for $19.99, or pick both up at retail ( MMLC on a cartridge and MMLC2 as a digital download) with an exclusive Mega Man 30 th Anniversary cleaning cloth (while supplies last) for $39.99. With all ten classic titles coming to Nintendo Switch, it’s a great time to catch up or relive your favorite mega moments ahead of Mega Man 11, coming late 2018 to Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Get equipped with a stylish new Mega Man art contest – prizes signed by Mega Man 11 producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya!

May 15, 2018 // Kellen Haney

UPDATE: Winners have been contacted! We’ll showcase the winning entries in a future blog.

For over thirty years, a defining feature of Mega Man has been the way his color palette changes each time he uses the weapon of a defeated Robot Master. With Mega Man 11 changing things up and giving the Blue Bomber a unique appearance and a new color scheme based on the power he’s using, that got us thinking – what would he look like if he equipped weapons from past Mega Man games? That’s where you come in!

It’s no secret among Mega Man fans that as far back as the original Mega Man, there were plans for the Blue Bomber’s sprite to change based on what he was equipped with. Now, we want to see what you can create based on the following premise:

What would Mega Man look like if his entire appearance changed when he equipped a Robot Master’s weapon from Mega Man 1 through 10?

This is all about style, so let your imagination run wild. We’re looking for the most creative and unique entries that fit the above theme, so don’t worry about your artistic skill level or the medium. Pencil sketches, paintings, digital art of any kind – go with what feels right to you! Your design can be an action shot, a reference sheet, Mega Man just lazing around, actively using a Robot Master’s power, or anything else that comes to mind.

Mega Man equipped with a Robot Master’s weapon in Mega Man 11.

This contest is open to residents of North America, Central America, and South America. Entries should be sent to contest@capcom.com . Full contest details can be found at this link, so be sure to read them in full before sending something in. One entry per person, so make it count! You’ve got from now until May 21 st , 11:59 PM PST, the eve before the release of Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 + 2 on Nintendo Switch. We’ll choose our favorites and announce a winner a few days after the contest has ended. Good luck!

UPDATE : This contest has now ended. Thanks to everyone who submitted an entry! We’ll be looking over them and picking our favorites, to be revealed in the next few weeks.

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate coming to Nintendo Switch on August 28th

May 10, 2018 // Yuri Araujo

Take the hunt on the go or cast it up to the big screen with Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, known as Monster Hunter XX in Japan, coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch on August 28.

Continuing the celebration started by Monster Hunter Generations on Nintendo 3DS, we’re expanding the monster roster, the number of ways you can hunt, and cranking up the challenge with “G Rank” quests. If you played the original game, good news is you’ll be able to transfer your save data and jump straight into all the new content on Nintendo Switch!

Monstrous Roster

Featuring a diverse cast of returning fan favorites, new variant “Deviant” monsters, an all-new Elder Dragon Valstrax and a new endgame boss Ahtal-Ka, you’ll have your hands full with unique quest targets and gear to craft from them. For those of you that will be newly jumping in, Deviant monsters are even more powerful variants of enemies you will soon become familiar with, monsters that have survived previous hunter encounters and have taken on new traits and abilities.

We’re expanding upon the cast of Deviant monsters introduced in MHGen , including Deviant forms of all the members of the “Fated Four”. Here’s a list of the names of the new challenging fiends that have been added in MHGU:

Boltreaver Astalos

Elderfrost Gammoth

Soulseer Mizutsune

Bloodbath Diablos

Nightcloak Malfestio

Rustrazor Ceanataur

Hunt Your Way

Also building on MHGen ’s Hunting Style system, we are introducing two brand new styles:

Alchemy Style offers a twist to the average hunting arsenal by giving a barrel that, when shaken a bit, can yield items with special properties, interesting buffs for your hunting party, or even unique attacks. Pair this style with the Hunting Horn and Sword & Shield to become to the ultimate support hunter!

Valor Style demands the ultimate knowledge of your target as you place a bet on your health bar in exchange for powerful counter attacks. This one is for the folks out there who like to live on the edge or are looking to master flawless hunting methods.

All the gear, these two new styles, along with the existing four (Guild, Striker, Adept and Aerial) and new Hunter Arts (super moves!) add up to a near limitless amount of possibilities for you to experiment, changing up your experience every time or customizing your hunter to find a hunting type that feels personalized just for you.

Puttin’ the G in ChallenGe

So with all these possibilities, you’ll of course want to put your build, as well as your skillset to the test. Or maybe you want to try out how versatile you can actually be. Enter G Rank. The toughest monsters await you, with new attacks and new behaviors. And, of course, the best gear is locked behind felling these beasts. So make sure to team up with up to 3 other hunters (local or online multiplayer) and coordinate your Styles and Hunter Arts to come out victorious.

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate will be releasing exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on August 28, and will be playable at E3 2018.

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection Training and Versus Mode Details!

May 08, 2018 // Andy Wong

Street Fighter 30 th Anniversary Collection is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam on May 29, 2018! We’re here to officially announce that Training and Versus Mode will be making their way to this collection, and to go over how each of them will work.

Street Fighter 30 th Anniversary Collection contains 12 iconic titles that have each added to the legendary fighting game series.

  • Street Fighter
  • Street Fighter II
  • Street Fighter II: Champion Edition
  • Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting
  • Super Street Fighter II
  • Super Street Fighter II Turbo
  • Street Fighter Alpha
  • Street Fighter Alpha 2
  • Street Fighter Alpha 3
  • Street Fighter III
  • Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact
  • Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike

VERSUS MODE

Having a dedicated Versus Mode where you can choose your characters and stage is a mainstay for modern fighting games on console. That’s why all 12 of these games will have a local Versus Mode where two players can duke it out against each other! Upon selecting which game you’d like to play Versus in, you’ll then be given a choice of which stage to play on. To add some extra flavor, each of these stages is labeled with which character originated from it. For example, in Street Fighter Alpha 3, the House of Mystery – Palazzo Mistero, Italy is labeled as Rose’s stage.

After each match, you’ll have the option to rematch, as well. If you choose to not have a rematch, you’ll be taken back to the main Versus screen where you can choose which of the 12 games to play. Invite your friends over to see who can really go home with the bragging rights!

TRAINING MODE

As previously announced, Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II: Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Street Fighter III: 3 rd Strike will all have online play! We’re happy to announce that all four of these iconic titles will also feature robust Training Modes, where you can practice combos, set ups, and master your character of choice in order to hone your skills for countless online battles. There are numerous training options available that weren’t in the arcade versions of these games that will enable you to customize your experience and train more efficiently than ever before! Some of the options that are universal amongst all four games are the ability to turn on damage display, input display, dummy controls, and more!

These aren’t even all the options available! Each of the four games also has its own additional training options that work within the gameplay mechanics introduced in the respective series.

After the initial announcement, we saw lots of fan feedback hoping for Versus and Training Modes, even if the collection is focused on the arcade versions. It’s because of this feedback that these modes have been added to the game. Since this is a brand new feature, Versus and Training Mode will be available as a day one patch on May 29. You must connect to the internet and download the patch in order to enable them.

We hope Training Mode will allow you to brush up on your fighting prowess before heading online to take on the world!

Become a Demon Lord with the Astaroth Crossover Costume for M. Bison in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition!

May 04, 2018 // Andy Wong

So far, we’ve only seen heroes and “good guys” as inspiration for Crossover Costumes, but that time is over! Evil will show its face(s) when the Astaroth Crossover Costume for M. Bison begins on May 10!

HOW DOES EXTRA BATTLE MODE WORK?

Every month, there will be at least one unique costume like a Crossover Costume up for grabs, which can only be obtained by playing Extra Battle Mode with Fight Money. Here’s the flow of how to go about getting these costumes:

  • Each costume requires you to complete four challenges that take place over the span of a month – one challenge per week.
  • Each time you attempt one of these challenges, you will need to spend 2,500 Fight Money. So if you successfully complete each of the weekly challenges in one go, you can get that Extra Battle Costume for 10,000 FM!
  • Once you complete all four challenges, the costume for that month is yours!
  • These challenges are time exclusive, so make sure to log in each week to complete them, especially if you have your eyes on that month’s unique costume.

Appearing in Ghosts ‘n Goblins (1985) and its sequels, Astaroth is the main antagonist to the chivalrous knight, Arthur. He is a demon lord and the ruler of the Demon Realm Village, which is a world inhabited by evil creatures. Astaroth has two faces, the primary one on his head and a secondary one on his abdomen. He can breathe fire through both of his faces to scorch enemies to a crisp. He’s also a master illusionist and can create mirages such as creating clones of himself. With clones and evil in mind, M. Bison is undoubtedly the best character to don the Astaroth Crossover Costume!
