Hey, Bass! Why must I fight you? We are not enemies!
Shut up!
An amazing exchange in a game filled with amazing exchanges. Between this and Doctah Waiwee I can’t make up my mind! But you’ll be able to relive – or discover – the memorable performances in Mega Man 8, as it’s coming to PSN very soon!
Mere weeks ago we brought long-lost-classic Tron Bonne to the PlayStation Network, and today we’re happy to confirm MM8 is OUT NOW!
As a teen raised on the Sega CD, I thought MM8’s full-screen animated story sections were pretty cool. Sure they’re a little dated (infamous?) today, but are still a lot of fun, and the game itself is pretty dang gorgeous. The colors, children!
Anywho, MM8 joins a growing treasure trove of PSN titles released just in the past few months. I’m pysched as always to help bring these titles to PS3/PSV (been playing Tron on Vita myself) and hope you either check them out or suggest them to a friend!
Hey, did you know you get a 3x damage bonus when you hit a sleeping mosnter with a Barrel Bomb? Yeah, it’s pretty awesome, but it’s also easy to mess that up if you hit the monster BEFORE the bomb damage kicks in.
Thankfully, MH4U has super helpful community members who create handy info charts; for example, take a look at this one , created by Cel .
For this blog I picked my most frequently used ways of detonating bombs but I really encourage you to check out the full chart for more ways of capitalizing on all that damage potential, including options for Bowgunners and Archers.
Again, please make sure to check out the full chart over at Cel’s imgur page; and big thanks to the /u/Khalirei for sharing this!
Catch one final Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition livestream today at 4pm PT on Twitch . Today’s stream will be a leisurely recap of returning protag Nero, so as with last week’s stream, it may feel redundant for those already well versed in the original DMC4.
Nevertheless, I am expecting it to be a rollicking, sword-revving, demon-grabbing good time. Hope to see you there!
At long last, here it is, guys: The DmC Style Tournament Final Round community vote! Hit the jump to view all eight submitted clips–that’s four for Dante, four for Vergil. Make sure to vote for both a Dante and a Vergil one (doesn’t have to be the same player for both), and may the most stylish player win!
Voting Deadline: Monday, June 1st at 12pm (noon) PT
It’s hard to mention the Resident Evil REmake without also discussing Resident Evil 0, a similarly harrowing adventure that takes place just before the momentous Mansion Incident. Both titles sported great visuals, classic survival horror tension and a huge community backing – two modern classics, for sure!
Given all those prior accolades and the game’s enduring quality, we’re proud to confirm RE0 will receive a modern update similar to this year’s enhanced REmake and release early next year on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC!,
The dev team – including Koji Oda, RE Zero’s original director – is hard at work on RE Zero, but took some time away from their screens to record this personal message. You might say RE producer Hirabayashi-san is “passing the torch,” but instead of a torch it’s a… well just watch the video 😛
We’ll have more on this title – and how it’s being improved for 2016 – very soon!
In Episode 29 of the Capcom Unity Official Podcast, Brett, Yuri, and I celebrate the long, long -demanded rerelease of The Misadventures of Tron Bonne as a PSOne Classic on the North American PSN.

Week 3 of Mega May is here and with it comes one of my favorite games of all time: Mega Man Zero 2 !
The Zero series holds a special place in my heart for a number of reasons, one of them being it inspired me to get better at playing games – since it’s quite unforgiving, but soooooo rewarding. So I’m really glad this is now on Virtual Console, where hopefully new players will give it a shot and be inspired in the same way.
Anyways, pick this up on the Nintendo Wii U eShop for just $7.99 and enjoy it on your TV or GamePad. And don’t forget the ability to create a Save States. =P
In case you missed them, here are the games featured in this Mega May:
The ever evil dictator of Shadaloo, M.Bison, is making his return in SFV. M.Bison has gotten a little older and whole lot more vicious. With an array of new attacks, it’s clear that M.Bison’s cruelty knows no bounds!
Continue on to see what new tools M.Bison has in store for the World Warriors!
In the latest M.Bison reveal trailer, you can see some of his new attacks in action. If there’s one thing that’s clear, it’s that M.Bison has finally gained extreme control over his Psycho Power.
Now that you’re done watching and rewatching that trailer (as I know I did), take a look at these screens which show Bison doing what he does best, destroying those who get in his way!
Bison gives Nash a taste of Psycho Power!
Bison’s power exudes through his attacks!
Bison blows away all who challenge him!
Psycho Powered flames surround Bison!
The mighty Bison grins in victory!
With Ryu, Chun-Li and Nash all in present, the mighty Bison will definitely have his psycho charged hands full with competition. Only four characters in and this is shaping up to be the most epic Street Fighter yet!
Who do you think will be the next World Warrior to Rise Up? Let me know in the comments.
Tune into our Twitch channel once again today at 4pm PT for more live Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition gameplay. This time we will show off the series’ lead protagonist, that daffy, pizza-loving stylesmith we all know and love: Dante!
Now I’m gonna tell you up front, I’m not the greatest Dante player out there. That said, there are some really great Dante players out there. His combat mechanics are also essentially untouched since DMC4’s PC release, so don’t expect any big revelations today. But if you’re interested in hanging out with a bunch of fellow fans for an hour while we have a leisurely Dante session, please come by! I’ll also be showing off his Legendary Dark Knight duds and his “Super Dante” gameplay modifier.
Those who follow the online events at residentevil.net may already know, but today there are two events running simultaneously! Log in this week for a chance at some custom parts and more.
We’ll also stream some Raid Mode today at 430pm (Pacific, that’s 7:30pm Eastern) and have two box copies to give away! Tune in over on our Twitch page and I’ll fire up some Lottie action.
The events:
Level-Restricted Challenge 7
Level-Restricted Challenge No.7 has a relatively low level cap, so it should perfect if you’re trying to level a character other than your main.
Level-Restricted Challenge 8
Level-Restricted Challenge No.8 on the other hand is capped at level 100, which should be a pretty tough challenge.
There’s no play limit for either of course so feel free to try out different ideas!
Just a quick reminder that our weekly Monster Hunter Mondays live stream continues its weekly -ness today at 4pm PT . Join us at twitch.tv/capcomunity and keep an eye on the stream chat for a chance to join the hunt and be famous! Sort of!
Time for another Capcom Recap! This week’s installment has banjos, machine-gun magnums, a Mega Man X-pert, some impressive use of the Charge Blade, and more. Hit the jump to watch!
