Y’know, I was never a big fan of udon (the noodle soup) until I had the real, hand-made stuff one day in Japan. Then I was like “Man! Udon is da bomb!” Then I moved back to the States and learned aboutUdon Entertainment ,purveyors of some of the nicest Capcom-themed art publications out there, not to mention repeated contributors to some of Capcom’s actual in-game art. And I was like “Man! Udon is da bomb!” Story over.
Anyway, below is a list of every Capcom-related Udon publication you can buy RIGHT NOW, including some sample pages for some of the newer books. I don’t know about you, but this list alone has me frothing at the mouth. Show Udon some love and gussy up that coffee table with some of these incredible publications. Just be aware that some of the older books are out of print, hence the higher price tags.

The day is finally here. The version of Street Fighter IV that IGN gave a “9/10” to and called “amazing,” which is also jam packed with a completely rebalanced cast, five new characters and all the previously released costumes is available today through your favorite retailers at $39.99 ( €29.99/£19.99). And for our PC users, USFIV will be coming your way on August 8th at $14.99 (€14.99/£11.99) for the digital upgrade and $29.99 (€29.99/£19.99) for the full version.
Survival horror fans, rejoice – the classic survival horror experience known as “REmake” is finally clawing its way out of the past and onto modern machines. RE fans in NA and EU will be able to download Resident Evil on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC early next year.
Since its 2002 release, this re-imagined take on the PS1 original has remained one of the most beloved (and requested) titles in the series’ history. From its incredible graphics and sound to numerous gameplay refinements, it turned an already amazing game into a must-play experience. The version you’ll play next year, however, has additional enhancements to make it the definitive vision of the Mansion Incident.
The in-game models and iconic backgrounds have all been improved, and a unique “scrolling” camera helps integrate the original 4×3 game into a 16×9 view. As the image above shows, as you move either Chris or Jill out of the initial frame, the view will smoothly scroll along with you.
The original “tank controls” remain, however there is also a modern option where the character moves in the direction of the analog sick. But if you read this and the 16×9 scrolling options and think “no way, I want the original experience,” then good news – all this stuff can be adjusted in-game, any time.
Though I hopped aboard the RE1 train in 1996, I (for whatever reason) missed the 2002 “REmake.” When I finally got around to it a couple of years ago, I finally understood why it was held in such high regard. It’s a memorable, tense and occasionally disturbing trip through the Spencer Estate, and if you didn’t play it back then – or want to see it again in HD – then by all means, check this out next year!

Hey, check out this stylized fan art I saw on Tumblr . It’s just a hunter cooking some meat (art by unartifex )… which is the opposite of what we’ll be doing today on Monster Hunter Mondays !
Tune in to 4pm PT at twitch.tv/capcomunity to see what we’re hunting… or at Help D Lobby 10 if you want to join us!
BTW, I quite like the art above… not only is the art style pretty cool, the equipment represented is quite nostalgic; who doesn’t remember using the Frost Edge with Ceanataur armor in MHF2/MHFU ? 😉
While the North American eShop will receive a new MM title each Thursday this month, EU players can grab the Game Boy version of Mega Man II (3DS) and GBA’s Battle Chip Challenge (Wii U) as part of “Megaugust” or “Megust” or whatever we’re calling it 😛
Both titles arrive on August 7 – which is also the day the NA Wii U eShop gets another Mega Man title, though we haven’t revealed which one. It could be:
