Hope you all have been enjoying Akuma and Season 2 of Street Fighter V.

We have a small update for you today regarding the Season 2 balance changes and Capcom Fighters Network (CFN).

First off, there were a few typos and changes that weren’t listed in the balance changelist we released back in December. Those have been fixed and added to the official list, which you can view here: game.capcom.com/cfn/sfv/adjust2017/en/1….

Additionally, we’ve been monitoring character performance since the release of Season 2 balance patch. We are currently analyzing this data to see what, if any, additional adjustments may be needed.

We’re also happy to announce that the team has been hard at work for several months to improve the network quality of CFN. We can’t share all of the details quite yet, but we are anticipating an update this Spring. We have more news to share on this in the coming months.

Late last year we teamed up with the folks at iam8bit to bring the Resident Evil franchise to life as an interactive escape room with the Resident Evil Escape Experience. Originally hosted exclusively at iam8bit’s gallery in Los Angeles , we’re proud to announce that iam8bit and Capcom are teaming up again to take this intense experience across the nation.

Hot on the heels of yesterday’s launch of Resident Evil 7 biohazard, the Resident Evil Escape Experience is the perfect interactive celebration of the Resident Evil series’ 20 ^th Anniversary. Partner up with friends or strangers to solve puzzles and escape rooms themed after iconic Resident Evil locations, including the Spencer Mansion and the Baker family mansion from RE7. Fans will certainly notice some obvious and obscure nods to various games in the series, but no previous knowledge of Resident Evil is required to enjoy.

The Resident Evil Escape Experience will be available at six major cities over the next few months, running in two cities at a time for a few weeks each:

PAX South is upon us, and if you can make your way to San Antonio, TX this weekend, it’ll be the perfect opportunity to check out the latest Capcom games, participate in our tournaments and get some sweet Capcom goodies!

PAX is always all about the games, so let’s start there. Here’s what we’re bringing to our booth ( #11076):

Resident Evil 7 biohazard – Fear just came home earlier this week on the 24th, and since you can already download the Beginning Hour demo at home, this time we’re showing a pretty scary slice of the full game. If you don’t have the game yet, come early to get a ticket so you can try it out for yourself… in stunning 4K!

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 – This fan favorite just made its way to the PS4 late last year and is headed to Xbox One and PC in March. But in the meantime, we’ll have it at our booth, so you can pick out your dream team and challenge your friends.

Street Fighter V – Step up and compete in our daily SFV tournaments for some cool prizes. We’ll have more details on site, but the fun part is all Top 4 participants in each tournament will walk away with something special!

Speaking of tournaments, while these are not organized by Capcom, I spotted a few community hosted tournaments of Capcom games taking place at PAX South. This is what I found so far: Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix – Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 – Street Fighter V – Monster Hunter Generations.

Another staple of our PAX presence is the Capcom Store, and it’ll also be there with the coolest and shiniest Capcom merch around. I also recommend showing up early as the highly coveted items tend to run out super-fast!

The day is finally here. Resident Evil 7 biohazard is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC! Capcom has listened to what fans want from the Resident Evil franchise, and with RE7, you can experience the true fear that fans have come to expect from Resident Evil in the twisted corridors of a mansion in Dulvey, Louisiana. Check out the latest trailer right after the jump, and read on for more of what you can expect from RE7.

There are echoes of the series’ survival horror roots in Resident Evil 7 biohazard. Ethan Winters, searching for his missing wife, Mia, finds himself exploring a dilapidated plantation house in Louisiana, drawing parallels to Raccoon City’s S.T.A.R.S. team exploring an old mansion in the Arklay Mountains. You won’t have time to comment on the splendor of this mansion, though – unlike the S.T.A.R.S. team, Ethan is just an ordinary man in a terrifying situation. Before long, Ethan finds himself face to face with the Baker family, who nobody has heard from in several years. In fact, not all is well at the old Baker house at all; the entire mansion seems to be falling apart, and there’s something seriously wrong with the residents, too. The family is waiting for you in this house of horrors, and as you make your way through the mansion, you’ll have to make some hard decisions in classic survival horror fashion. Do you take your chances and fight back against the terrors that await you, or will you try to conserve your resources and run away? The members of the Baker family aren’t the only creatures lurking in the hallways, so you’ll have to plan ahead.

That’s not all we have for you today, though; two additional DLC packs will be available very soon! These packs are available in the Deluxe Edition version of the game as well as the Season Pass, and can also be purchased separately. The first pack, Banned Footage Vol. 1, will be available on PS4 starting on January 31st, and on all other platforms February 21st, for $9.99. This includes two pieces of “Banned Footage” as well as a new mode:

Bedroom:  Figure out how to escape from a locked room – but don’t let Marguerite Baker know you’ve been out of bed.

Nightmare: Fend off waves of enemies and survive until morning.

Extra Mode – Ethan Must Die :  A tough-as-nails mode separate from the tapes and story of the main game. (Does not support PSVR)

In addition, a second pack, Banned Footage Vol. 2, will be available on PS4 starting February 14th, and on all other platforms starting February 21st, for $14.99. This pack includes two more tape scenarios and a new mode:

21:  Gambe life and limb in a deadly game run by Lucas Baker.

Daughters:  See what the Baker family was like before the tragic events of  Resident Evil 7 biohazard .

Extra Mode – Jack’s 55th Birthday:  Race against the clock and feed Jack tons of food in this comical extra game mode separate from the tapes and story of the main game. (Does not support PSVR)

For those of you with PlayStation VR, you’ll be able to experience the entire game, from beginning to end, in a flexible, optional PSVR mode to play as much or as little as you want in immersive VR. For those of you with a 4K TV and a PS4 Pro, you’ll be able to enjoy full 4K resolution with incredibly crisp graphics and even more detailed textures. Plus, Resident Evil 7 biohazard will be able to take advantage of HDR on compatible TVs, no matter what model of PS4 you have. If you have an Xbox One or Xbox One S, you’ll be able to take advantage of HDR on compatible televisions as well. For PC players, there are a plethora of options to tweak your RE experience to your liking.

Last week, mysterious packages started arriving to various press and other well-known Resident Evil fans. Not the strangest thing in the world, sure, unless you consider what was inside the packages – a VHS player and a weathered VHS tape just like the ones you might have seen if you’ve played the Beginning Hour demo for Resident Evil 7 biohazard… But this time, the tape and its contents were addressed to them, begging for the footage to be watched and shared.

If his face looks familiar, that’s because you may recognize Pete from Resident Evil 7 biohazard Teaser Demo: Beginning Hour, or from the KITCHEN teaser demo for PlayStation VR. This new “found footage” VHS tape that was sent out provides a glimpse into where poor Pete may have been in the precious hours between these two demos. Try playing Beginning Hour first, then watch the video above, then play KITCHEN – you’ll get to see Pete’s story from beginning to end.

Honor Pete’s wishes and get this video out there! Resident Evil 7 biohazard will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC starting January 24th, 2017.

As announced on the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017 in Tokyo, Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, is coming to the Nintendo Switch!

Capcom and Nintendo have a long history together, going all the way back to Street Fighter II on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991, so we are happy to bring the newest edition of Street Fighter II to the Nintendo Switch.

For the first time in nearly 20 years, since Super Street Fighter II, two new characters join the fight; Evil Ryu and Violent Ken. This version of Ryu has succumbed to the Satsui no Hado and is now obsessed with fighting in order to prove he is the strongest. His former honorable self has been purged, allowing him to enjoy absolute power and embrace an unquenchable bloodthirst for battle.

Violent Ken is the result of M. Bison kidnapping and brainwashing Ken, enhancing his abilities with Psycho Power and twisting his brotherly rivalry with Ryu into hatred. Violent Ken is more ruthless, aggressive, and fearless with moves that feature purple flames instead of his signature fire.

Choose between classic pixel-art graphics for a retro nostalgia trip, or enjoy HD graphics created by UDON Entertainment.

Utilizing the system’s unique Joy-Con controllers, players can challenge each other in Arcade Mode, or team-up to both fight against the CPU at the same time.

Nintendo Switch TV, Tabletop, and Handheld modes allow you to play Ultra Street Fighter II at home or on-the-go with brand new single-player and multiplayer modes. More information and details on these modes, along with confirmed pricing and release timing, will be shared at a later date.

Yoshinori Ono, Executive Producer of the Street Fighter series, will be making an appearance on Nintendo’s Treehouse Live on January 13^th to showcase Ultra Street Fighter II. Watch it live on Nintendo’s Twitch or YouTube Channel .

To access the free DLC, load your copy of Monster Hunter Generations and select the Download menu from the start screen and follow the steps to download all the treats. After that, load your character and talk to the following NPCs for each type of content:

• Take on Regular Quests and Prowler Quests from the Wycademy Gal at the Hunters Hub;
• Take on Challenge Quests from the Arena Instructor at the Hunters Hub;
• Purchase Extras by using Wycademy Points from the Trader at the Palico Ranch (select “Limited Goods” option);
• Hire Special Palicoes from the Meowstress, Grandmeow or Grandmyama at all four villages
• Claim Item Packs from your Housekeeper (select the “Claim Items” option)
