Just a note to encourage people to check out Kotaku honcho Brian Crecente’s recent Lost Planet 2 preview . 

There aren’t a lot of details the Lost Planet faithful don’t already know, but I really liked this because it’s right on for anyone that already thinks they know Lost Planet, and is kind of in the “meh” zone for Lost Planet 2. By the end of the piece, you can almost hear Brian going “Umm… wow?  Is this the game I thought I knew?”

“I Want To Be Inside You: There are plenty of things that sell Lost Planet 2: The new lush environment, the cool character customization, the wide variety of weapons and four-player coop. But when I finally sat down to play the game the only thing I wanted to do was crawl inside the giant lizards mouth and start blowing apart its intestines.”

This game is kind of amazing.  Don’t miss out on one of this year’s most epic games just because you think you already have a pretty good idea what this whole Lost Planet thing is about–LP2 is a total jaw-dropper.
