Explore the musical highlights of the Strider series

Aug 06, 2013 // GregaMan

Fun video game music site that you should immediately bookmark (do people still do that?), Sumthing.com ,  has a thoroughly entertaining write-up of the “musical highlights of Capcom’s darkened pirouetting deity.” This of course refers to Strider. Read it !

While exploring some of the series’ finer musical moments, writer Geno Anthony puts his own love for the series ever so eloquently:

“It has been 14 years since I dictated the movements of Strider Hiryu in his own game: Has he grown obese and hobbled? Does he still look good in red neckerchiefs? Has his grey hair finally set in? Every single nuance, every detail is important here because to me, all modern gaming began in 1989 with Capcom and Strider’s 1st arcade incarnation.”

First glimpses of the new  Strider  in action of course show a hero unfettered by the passage of time, with lovingly recreated mannerisms and more acrobatic tricks up his sleeveless ninja-tunic than ever before. Look forward to more info on the game in the near future!
