Seth ( s-kill ): I liked the sense of action and nod to the Transformers in Splicebot’s piece, but mostly it was the watercolor-ish treatment that really sold me. It makes Nitro Man look dangerous and slick, like his outline is blurred from heat and motion.

Shawn ( snow ): I really like the style on Salamandr’s piece. It instantly stood out as fun, unique, and awesome. I’d love to have a print of this on my desk. Overall just a really fantastic piece of art.

Joveth ( jgonzo ): This was a really difficult decision: I loved Fredo’s concept and Street Fighter cameos, Rousteinire’s lush visuals , Kaiser-Blade’s mature take , and NotAnotherZeroFan’s super stylized look.

Ultimately, I can only choose one, and it’s going to have to be NotAnotherZeroFan . I just love the colors, texture, and the strokes that she (corrected 🙂 ) used. It’s very much in tune with what I look for in some of my art tastes.
