A Ludicrously Large Library of Lost Planet 2 Previews

Mar 24, 2010 // jgonzo

Yeah that title was a bit of a stretch, I know. Anyway, we have lots of new info and previews coming for Lost Planet 2!

Gamespot UK’s Mark Walton tries out the turbulent jungles of Lost Planet 2’s multiplayer and writes :

There was an impressive sense of scale when using the suits, and it was an intense experience to suddenly be ambushed by a towering mech ready to lay down some carnage. The maps are also impressively large, with the crumbling buildings and lush tropical trees appearing to stretch forever into the distance. This gives plenty of breathing room for 16 players to do battle, even when there are several vital suits walking around at once.

Meanwhile, over at Gamespot US, Giancarlo Varanini writes about the game’s main campaign mode, specifically, the storming of the NEVEC facility:

We’ve seen everything from lush jungles to arid desert environments in Lost Planet 2, and our look at the latest demo revealed a new area–stormy seaside cliffs where ex-NEVEC marines make landfall to begin the assault on their former employer and stop the company from returning the planet of EDN III to its formerly frosty state.

1up played the same level and wrote up their thoughts as well. They also posted videos, which you can see above and here .
