Capcom Recap: 05/26/2017 – 06/01/2017

Jun 03, 2017 // Yuri Araujo

This week at Capcom, Dead Rising 4 tees up mini-golf, Street Fighter V gets new content and more Fight Money is coming your way!

A bit of housekeeping before we get to the updates for the week: you may notice we had to take a quick break from live streaming—I know, I miss it already too!—but don’t worry, we’ll be back in no time. In fact, the reason for said break is none other than E3 2017! As part of our annual tradition, we’ve shipped our streaming gear to Los Angeles, CA so we can stream from the E3 show floor every day of the event. More details coming up soon! =)

Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf coming June 20!

Harrison Young: This week in Street Fighter land, we released a huge update featuring the newest Street Fighter V character, Ed! Alongside the new character came the New CFN which includes improved loading times for ranked and casual matches, new friend management system, matchmaking improves and much more.

Additionally, the remastered Spain stage becomes available, giving Vega a slight advantage on his home turf.

From the eSports side, we have the release of the Capcom Pro Tour 2017 Premier Pass for Street Fighter V! This includes immediate access to the Ryu and Ken CPT costumes, with more content to be released later, and exclusive targets giving you an additional 36,000 FM in June alone. Keep in mind, these monthly targets expire at the end of the month, so hit the streets now to collect your Fight Money! Head over to the PlayStation blog for full details.

You will also see a 50,000 FM bonus if you log in before June 13 th ! For a full rundown of what is in the May update head over to this blog post.

Patrick Kulikowski: What’s good, Mega Man fans!? We’re always thrilled to share awesome fan art in our Capcom Recaps, and I came across a fantastic one that celebrates the final entry in the Mega Man Legacy Collection. Twitter user Noahpatchi did a remarkable job with this Mega Man 6 watercolor tribute. I love all the intricate details they invoked with Mega Man and the Robot Masters’ designs. Those colors give it a nice pop! The redesigned logo is pretty slick too, don’t you think?

We’re always scouring the internet for more of your fan art, so please do share it with us – you, too, have a chance to be featured in one of our weekly recaps!

STICKY NOTE: Did you make something cool? Send us a note or drop a comment below; we would love to feature your work here! Same goes for any awesome stuff you may see in the wild; we always welcome more fantastic fan work. =)

Talk again next week!
