Welcome back  Capcom Unity !

So you know all about the home and your page , going to groups and going to bars (all 3 of them walk into a website, lol); now it’s time to master two more features… and unleash TRUE POTENTIAL of Capcom Unity!!!

Dramatic, I know; sorry. Onto to  Blog posting  and  Forum  now:

Interestingly enough, few things have changed here. It’s one of things that weren’t broken; so we didn’t fix it. We enhanced it though. Let’s start with the  Forum :

Hope you like the new tile setup for all the Forums. I do – it’s a lot easier to memorize exactly where Monster Hunter is, instead of having to scroll down a lengthy list of names… Plus, we get some new functionality here: click on the group name or picture and you’ll be taken to the main page, showing all the forums and sub-forums. Same goes for that button labeled MAIN . The new thing is the  Current Conversation button, which shows you the most recent conversations happening on that group forum.

NOTE: I didn’t get a screen of this, because I wanted you to try it out and see what happens. So click on  Current Conversation   of a group with recent activity and watch the page being updated as time goes by and people post. Magic!

Now let’s jump to a thread!

Looks nice… and should be very familiar, so let me point out the new stuff:

Forum Activity on the left let’s you get a quick update of what’s happening, without going into forum itself (or the multiple sub-forums) looking for stuff.

Switch to Forum Live View ! This is awesome! I’ve been using it for quite some time now; it’s just great. The threads update instantly when something gets posted, and all I have to do is scroll up or down to keep up. No more  next page for me! 😉

Here’s how it looks:

See? Everything becomes more compact and easier to read… just type your message and hit that  POST REPLY button… it’s perfect! (and if you prefer the  Standard View , a button shows up on that same spot so you can switch back)

What I really like about it is that it’s all about the message and the flow of the conversation. Almost like a big chat room with all you guys!

Last thing for today:  Blogging !

Now, I do this  EVERY DAY ; so this better be a good tool, right? It is.

Let’s look at it from the bottom up here, which is from older stuff to newer stuff. So start with that extensive toolbar – so much you can do with it, so much  porential . Now, don’t forget to adjust your  Entry Status : public , private and friends are self-explanatory, but to save a blog post as a  draft , you have to “submit post” after selecting that.

One more thing you might not have known is: you can syndicate your posts to different groups that you have enough privileges with. You can also select multiple groups with the Ctrl or Shift keys. Speaking of keys, we have  KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS on the site now. How many of you found the button on the bottom left of  every page? 😉

Almost done… two more things: going up you’ll see we added  TAGS right near the  TITLE , so you don’t forget about it. And we implemented an  AUTO-SAVE  function! The miracle of the 21st Century.
