Throughout history, not many have been able to lay claim to the moniker of “Super”. There’s (Super)man and a mustached guy named Mario. The Bionic Commando blog has news of the return of the fairest of them all, Super Joe. Players will be able to experience Joe’s superness in both 2D and 3D. First in the upcoming 2D Bionic Commando Rearmed and then the 3D Bionic Commando, as the boss of Nathan Spencer. The image above is the handsome devil himself looking none-the-older despite debuting in 1985. To celebrate the announcement of the return of Super Joe, the Bionic Commando site also has a very cool “History of” page up, giving you a detailed history of the previous Bionic Commando games, all the way back to 1985.
