My first random TvC post where we can finally luxuriate in the fact that this game will actually be coming West. Huzzah.

This one features TvC’s other “giant,” Lost Planet’s PTX-40A “Hardballer” VS .  He’s fighting against the ordinarily super-annoying Karas/Ryu team.  While Ryu is a match for ordinary men, a 5-story mechanical monstrosity doesn’t care about fireballs. Of course that doesn’t stop Ryu from Shin-Shoryukening his metal butt anyway (1:30).  So stupid–so fun!

Notice also that the Hardballer is full up with the loving little touches that TvC is all about:  when you use the shoulder weapons, they run out of ammo eventually (just like Lost Planet), and you have to attach new ones (just like LP).  The different weapons also have completely different functions, also just like… you guessed it:  Lost Planet. 

Everything from the supers to the individual moves are carefully crafted to reflect the character backstory and maximum fun.  Yay.
