Morrigan

Bio: Morrigan Aensland is a hellraising succubus , born as the heir to the demonic realm of Makai.  She who was originally SO powerful that her adopted pops Belial actually decided to split her powers between her, himself, and a (kind of) succubus sister Lilith, for Morrigan’s own good.  Or something. 

Although Morrigan occasionally powered up by getting together with Lilith, she didn’t return to her full S-Class bad-assitude until Belial croaked and she assumed the throne. In spite of her demon heritage, Morrigan isn’t actually evil, she just likes dropping in on the human world to entertain herself, with occasionally explosive consequences. 

Where you know her from:  Morrigan has flown free of her Darkstalking roots to become a full-blown fan favorite.  You’ll find her in everything from traditional fighters like Darkstalkers, Capcom Vs SNK, and Marvel Vs Capcom 2, to Puzzle Fighter, Namco X Capcom, and cosplay conventions everyhwere.  Although she has a gorgeous new 3D model in Tatsunoko Vs Capcom, Capcom made it easy to spot her in earlier games by leaving her sprite basically unchanged for over a decade. 

Signature Moves:
Darkness Illusion:  Morrigan reunites with her “better half” succubus, Lilith, to dish out an epic beatdown that runs through nearly her entire repertoire of attacks. 

“Bat Chair”:  this isn’t a special move, but when you win, Morrigan’s wings transform into a convenient floating chair made out of bats, which is extremely rad.

Last Seen In:  Since showing up in Tatsunoko Vs Capcom, she’s also reared her lovely head in the slightly baffling turn-based dress-up sim, Cross Edge .

Doronjo

Bio: Doronjo is the villainous co-star of anime series “Yatterman,” a consummate con-artist and leader of the treasure-seeking Doronbo gang.  Doronjo and co. are out to find the shattered-and-scattered pieces of the mysterious Skull Stone, which is fabled to reveal the location of the world’s largest gold deposit.  Although their schemes seem to get off to a good start in each episode, they are inevitably foiled by a combination of the Dorombo’s own ineptitude and the mechanical creations and ingenuity of young whippersnapper, Yatterman. 

A literal gold-digger, Doronjo is vain and incredibly bossy towards her two hapless accomplices, Boyacky and Tonzura.  Although she calls most of the plays on the field, Doronjo takes her orders from the gang’s secretive and rarely seen uber-boss, Dokurobei (think “Charlie’s Angels” Charlie , or “Inspector Gadget’s” Dr. Claw ).

Doronjo’s lust for fame and money is eclipsed only by the bumbling of her gang.  How bumbling are they?  They manage to explode themselves constantly, with hilarious and sexy results, often leaving Doronjo’s leotard and thigh-high boots in even-more-revealing tatters.  

Where you know her from: The Yatterman anime (1977-79).  It was revamped with an oddball series of “modernizing” changes (for instance, the “Skull Stone” has been replaced with the “Skull Ring,” which totally fits my modern, anti-stone sentiments), and has been on the air in Japan since 2008.   If you’re especially cool, you might have even seen her in the 2009 live-action Yatterman movie.

Signature Moves: Too many even to list, all dripping with style.  Awesome stuff Doronjo actually does her fights:  

Tonzura Drop:  Orders Tonzura to perform a parachute-less skydive at the opponent’s head.
Ultra Relax: Lays down on the job, reclining with her hand on her hip.  
Push Like So:  Has Boyacky call drop a gigantic, screen-filling rolling robot-head on you.  
Dark Blossom:  Doronjo calls in an exploding palm tree which sets off an increasingly catastrophic series of explosions eventually leading to a nuclear blast.  Doronjo and co. try to escape on their bicycle-built-for-three, but, in classic Yatterman fashion, still manage to get blown up.
