Tatsunoko Vs Capcom Dev Blog: Stupid Super Fun with Joe the Condor

Dec 02, 2009 // s-kill

Tatsunoko Vs Capcom director, Neo_G, has emerged from the ROM-producing factory to send us a new round of videos.

He clearly loves this game, and that love is part of why there’s so much great attention to detail, but this most recent update is just a little insane, suggesting he just *might* have spent a little too much time with TvC.

Fortunately for us, his insanity has taken the form of amusing machinima-style clips, this time feature Joe the Condor. The man who brought you Frank West Baseball is back, this time recreating some of the internal dramas of the team members of Battle of the Planets, aka G-Force, aka Science Ninja Team Gatchaman.  Fun stuff:

Hi everyone, this is Neo_G, ROM partying all the way.

… it has been quite a long time now since I’ve started burning Roms during bug checking for many different events in many different countries and for PR uses… Every ROM was taken care of, one by one by me, and now it’s about to settle down finally.  I hope to have some rest…. but here I go again!

So, I’ve been showing off some gameplay movies, and this time
I’ve created some with “Joe the Condor”!

First off, “Joe and Jun, nice team work!”

This is just doing “variable combination” but the last part
is just great, nice timing!!

Next…. all of you “Science Ninja Team” fans must-see!
“I’m gonna shoot some Bird Missiles…” “Stop! Joe!!!” [ed. note–Ishizawa is referring to Ken and Joe’s constant squabbling over bird missiles, like this ]

I’ve reproduced the scene with the game LOL

And last,
“Ken’s not around, so two Joes tried shooting Bird Missiles”

I love how it ends… :p  Just look at how synchronized they are! LOL

There was an event called “Games Japan Festa 2009” in Osaka
and I showed up an hour before the event ended :p
and I got to play against a gamer (and his friend) who was last in line.
We played a few matches and it was great.

It was just great to see everyone playing and smiling.
Thank you very much!
