Well what do you know, August is already over! I hope everyone didn’t get battered by the summer heat or catch one of those nasty summer colds. 

It’s still super hot too, so make sure to be careful out there!

So this week I wanted to talk about the titles found in SFXTK. There are around 705 titles in the entire game, even if you exclude the ones available from the beginning (the PS3 version has 50 exclusive titles)!

Find any titles that catch your interest? I’ve actually been using the same title ever since Street Fighter IV, called “Dog Lover”.

This is what the title looked like in SSFIV Arcade Edition. The title plate has Abel’s face on it.

I bet you’re wondering why it’s Abel’s face on the title, but if you’ve played through Arcade Mode in SSFIV Arcade Edition, you’d know!

In the prologue and ending movie of SSFIV AE for Abel, a white dog appears. Since he was part of a special military group, Abel wasn’t able to have a dog of his own. However in the game he found a lost dog, and at that moment promised himself he’d get a dog once his battles were over. Abel then set off to battle Shadaloo.

The condition for getting the Dog Lover title up until SSFIV Arcade Edition was that you had to clear Abel’s Trial mode. I didn’t use Abel as my main character, so the trials during the latter half of Abel’s Trial mode were extremely difficult -I had to keep trying countless times to clear them…

In SFXTK, the condition for getting the plate changed to a simpler “Win 5 matches online”, and is no longer Abel-exclusive. 

This is what the SFXTK plate looks like. For some reason we have a bunny on the plate. Dog lovers, don’t lose to those pesky cat lovers who adorn their profile with the “Cat Lover” title!

I think getting the title you want to use absolutely raises your motivation to play the game! Get online and show off your hard-earned title to everyone!

The release date for the next batch of DLC for SFXTK has been decided! Look for it on Tuesday, September 4 ^th!
