As rumored, the fourth installment in the Resident Evil movie series has begun production in Toronto, Canada.

Director Paul W.S. Anderson is back on the series since leaving after the first film. Returning cast members include Milla Jovovich as Alice, Ali Larter as Claire Redfield, and Spencer Locke as K-Mart.

Wentworth Miller rounds out the cast as Chris Redfield, who officially makes his debut in the Resident Evil movie series with this film.

The movie will be filmed in 3-D and has a target release date of fall 2010.
