MOAR SDCC freebies and activities, incl Money Bin and Ace charm
Jul 15, 2013 // Minish Capcom
In addition to the huge pile of amazing stuff on sale at the Capcom Store, we also have this big ol’ list of things to see and do during the show. Below is text provided by our own Francis Mao (y’may have seen him moderating many of our panels all over the country) – take it away!
I’m Francis Mao, Sr. Director of Creative Services and Events, and its my privilege to share with you all that we have prepared for you at San Diego Comic Con this year! The CAPCOM crew cannot wait to see you in sunny, San Diego. Although, we may not see much of the sun, because we’ll be inside the massive San Diego Comic Con Convention Center for most of the time at the jam-packed CAPCOM booth hanging out with all the great CAPCOM fans!
BEHIND DOOR A
We have a new home this year down at the front end of the hall, right inside DOOR A. The SDCC organization has moved all the major booths around this year to open up the space a little bit and in response to the Fire Marshall’s concerns about the massive crowds. Those that have attended SDCC in the past are well aware of the logjam of humanity that sometimes occurred between CAPCOM and our neighbor, Warner Bros. CAPCOM anchors the start of the entire convention center with our biggest booth ever – 50’x50′! We’ll be surrounded by the rest of our video gaming colleagues including Nintendo, Microsoft, Namco and others. Come see us in Booth #215!
LET’S PLAY!
First and foremost, it’s always about the great CAPCOM games and this year we have a huge variety for fans to experience firsthand before they release later this year. DUCKTALES: REMASTERED answers the cries of diehard fans for years to deliver the classic hit with completely redrawn HD graphics. LOST PLANET 3 allows you to experience the perils of EDEN III firsthand as you battle savage Akrids in your giant rig. Ace Attorney fans get to experience the latest courtroom adventure in PHOENIX WRIGHT: ACE ATTORNEY – DUAL DESTINIES. Another blast from the past returns in DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: CHRONICLES OF MYSTARA on our sleek, new 4-player CAPCOM arcade cabinets!
MONSTER HUNTER FANS UNITE!
Monster Hunter fans are invited to hang out at the Monster Hunter Lounge where we’ll have MONSTER HUNTER 3 ULTIMATE to play, plus we invite MHU3 fans to bring their games on 3DS/3DSXL to gather and embark on their own quests together! Plus, live the adventure by getting your picture taken wielding one of the two massive, authentic Monster Hunter weapons in front of the giant Monster Hunter backdrops!
SAY CHEEZE!
You’ll have more opportunities than ever for awesome photo opportunities throughout the entire CAPCOM booth! Dive into the huge, Scrooge McDuck Money Bin packed with gold coins and treasures. Stand proud on the Ace Attorney witness stand to voice your “Objection!” Take a picture with the life-size Mega Man statue in appreciation of his 25th Anniversary. Get your photo taken with the many special guests we have lined up at our signing booth including our super star producers for Street Fighter, Ace Attorney, Lost Planet, DuckTales and more! Your Instagram and Facebook account will thank you for all the new postings!

Step up to see how many questions you can get right, and if you have what it takes to be a “CAPCOM SUPER FAN” Everyone that plays will get a free C30 commemorative pin for you to pin in on your badge to proclaim your CAPCOM love to everyone on the showfloor. While supplies last.
