Seventy-three-year-old Shiro Suzuki is a renowned announcer and actor in Japan. Having been active in television since the sixties, he has appeared on countless news, talk, variety, and game shows. He also happens to be a huge Resident Evil fan, and an extremely skilled one to boot.

In the past, he has boasted Resident Evil 4 Mercenaries Mode scores in the realm of 60,000 to 90,000, and has cleared the game on Professional Mode at least five times. Not half bad for an old-timer. Just look at him go:

Personally I’m just hoping I still have use of my eyeballs at his age.

Anyway, Suzuki-san recently made a quick video to plug the new HD titles, which will conveniently be available in North America in the coming couple weeks as digital downloads (not on disc as they are in Japan). (Click the little “CC” button in the lower right to toggle subtitles.)

Resident Evil 4 HD will be available September 20th on XBL Games on Demand and PSN.

Resident Evil Code: Veronica X will be available on XBL on September 27th, PSN on the 28th.
