I know some of you have had Dragon’s Dogma on the mind after seeing the latest Dark Arisen gameplay videos . What if I were to tell you you might be able to win a copy of Dark Arisen? What if I told you there were all sorts of other DDDA-themed prizes on the line too? What if I told you you could pursue this chance from the comfort of your own living room, mancave, ladylair, or den? Might you. . . arise to the occasion? Because you see, puns.

Okay, enough beating around the ol’ greenwarish. Here’s the scoop – from now until March 25 ^th , 12:00pm PT, we’re holding a Dragon’s Dogma Pawn Pageant. Don’t worry, you don’t need to hold an educated opinion on geography or even wear a tiara (but you may if you like), you just need to submit your best screenshot of your Pawn from the original Dragon’s Dogma (Arisen shots are okay too–we’re just looking for creativity and good shots). There are several categories for submission with multiple prize opportunities for each, plus we’re offering a snazzy Unity badge just for participating.

These “Rules” govern the Dragon’s Dogma’ Pawn Pageant Contest.  By entering this contest, you agree to these Rules.

1. WHO can enter:  Contest open to any Unity member or @dragonsdogma Twitter follower with a North American or European mailing address.  Capcom employees are not eligible.  No purchase necessary to enter.

2. WHERE to enter:  Submit a screenshot of your Dragon’s Dogma Pawn to one of four categories:

Most Badass –  Speaks for itself; a Pawn who is cool, tough, and hard to handle.

Weirdest –  Is your Pawn cooky, nutty, garish, freakish, or really into smooth jazz? This is your category.

Best Team Coordination – Does your team of Pawns and Arisen have a running theme? Are your Main Pawn and Arisen dressed like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid? If so, this category is for you.

Best Lookalike –  Does your Pawn look like someone else? Post a side-by-side image. 

Post yourimage via the comments of this Unity post, specifying which category.  OR you can submit via Twitter by Tweeting @dragonsdogma with your image, your category, and “#PawnPageant.”  

Submission of multiple Pawns is allowed, but multiple submissions to the same category shall be disqualified. 

3. WHEN to enter:  Between now until 12:00 noon PST on March 25th, 2013.

4. WHAT are the prizes: 

-Four 1st Prizes (One per category):  Dragon’s Dogma Dark Arisen Game (PS3 or 360); Dragon’s Dogma Travel Mug; Shoulder Bag; 1500 Unity Points and special “Dragon’s Dogma – Discerning Eye” badge (if you submit through Unity) 

-Four Runner-Up Prizes (One per category):  Dragon’s Dogma Travel Mug; Tote Bag; 1000 Unity Points

-All Participants: 300 Unity Points; Unity “Dragon’s Dogma – From the Rift” badge (if you submit through Unity) 

5. HOW are prizes awarded:  Entries will be judged based on creativity, humor and impact. Judging will be done by Capcom staff and at their sole discretion. Judging will take place on March 25, 2013 and winners will be notified on March 26, 2013 by Capcom Unity Message and/or Tweet as well as announced on a blog post.
