As you likely know, the Austin, TX SF25 tournament is all wrapped up, and we have a series of videos encapsulating the whole thing right here . Check ’em out (and SRK’s post on the winners) in case you missed it all happening live!

Looking ahead, we have some new details for the NYC tournament next weekend ( register here !), as well as a hotel deal set up to save you some $$$

First up, some slight schedule changes:

Saturday 8:00AM: Venue Opens
8:00AM-8:45AM: On-site registration
9:00AM: Brackets are published
9:00AM-10:00AM: Casual Play / Practice

10:00AM: Tournament Begins for All Games
6:00PM: Down to 32 players for All games

6:00PM-9:00pm: Quarterfinals Begins, Top 32 -> Top 8 (up to Top 4 for 3rd Strike and HDR)

Sunday 9:30AM : Venue Opens
9:30AM-10:00AM: Casual Play / Practice
10:00AM: Top 4 begins for HD Remix
11:00AM: Top 4 begins for 3rd Strike
12:30PM: Top 8 Begins for SFxT 1v1
3:00PM: Top 8 Begins for SF4
6:00PM: Tournament ends

As for gameplay details, please note that while the 12 new SFxT characters are not allowed in the NYC tournament, the newest balance patch will be in effect. We’re also changing the rules for SFII HD Remix – Turbo 3 will be the new standard speed for all SF25 tournaments moving forward.
