“A Joystick for the Rest of Us”: Play Magazine on the Standard SFIV FightStick
Jan 30, 2009 // s-kill
Play Magazine has a great review of the standard SFIV FightStick . You’ve probably seen a lot of coverage on the mighty Tournament Edition, but this focuses intentionally on the more moderately priced model and its value for regular players.
“If you’re looking for expert analysis on this stick, if the stock buttons can be replaced with Sanwa High-Grade XLE buttons or if you’ll have to stick with the lower-level Sanwa Medium-Grade ABX buttons, if a square or octagonal gate is better used when playing Street Fighter IV, or any of that, you’ve come the wrong place.
I want, instead, to come at this stick from a different angle: Joe Average. I like joysticks; I quite enjoy using them at arcades, and I’ve always told myself, ‘Self, it would be nice to own a joystick, you know?'”
And if you DO need a sold-out-everywhere Tournament Edition stick, I suggest you look here 🙂
